Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty is out now, and there is plenty to do. The game has been reworked, and a lot has been overhauled. If you have not played the game in a while, then there is a lot to catch up on. So better to head in prepared. In this Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty guide, we give you some tips and tricks that you should know.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Tips And Tricks
The following are some tips and tricks for players coming back into Cyberpunk 2077 with the Phantom Liberty DLC.
Start A New Game Rather Than Skipping To Phantom Liberty
The base game has changed a lot since its launch, and update 2.0 changes the game completely. CDPR recommends starting the game from the beginning, and that is what we did and recommend. Doing so will allow you to pick your own choices, romances, and gear.
Missable Early Iconic Weapon
Play through the story of Phantom Liberty until you get to your own apartment in Dogtown. After that, you can complete some missions or pass the time and come back to get the Haw Power Assault Rifle Iconic Weapon up against the wall. There are some other things that you can loot in the apartment, so do head back and check them out.
Free Weaponized Vehicles
Weaponized vehicles have been added in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, but you can get two of them for free. The Weaponized Police Armored Vehicle can be stolen from the police, and you can also get the Quadra Type-66 “Hoon”, which is a tribute to Ken Block. Both of these vehicles are free to access, and you do not even need to own Phantom Liberty to get them.
Complete Air Drop Dynamic Events
Two new dynamic events have been added as part of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, and while you can skip past these if you are focused on completing the main missions, we recommend completing the Air Drop dynamic events since they offer great rewards.
The Air Drop dynamic event comprises a package that you can hack, which is surrounded by enemies. The air drop can often include Tier 5 weapons, money, mods, cyberware, and more. So, it is definitely worth checking out.
You Can Access Stash From The Trunk Of Your Car
As you collect loot, you are going to go over the capacity. Instead of having to fast travel to your apartment or find a vendor, you can use the trunk of your car to access your stash to quickly store or retrieve gear. You can call your car to your location by using the request button. This is a feature that some returning players or new players might overlook or not know of.
Revamped Skill Trees
The skill system has been reworked as part of update 2.0. We have done a guide on the best build that you can use. We have also done a guide on some of the best skills that you should get. Check those out to learn more about builds and the new skills. It is worth mentioning that you can only resect your attribute once and not as many times as you like. So be careful of the build that you are going for and the attributes that you invest in.
Mission Updates Take Longer
Unlike the base game, mission updates take longer in Phantom Liberty. Once you have completed an objective, it could take a day or two (in-game) for the mission objectives to be updated. You can choose to do side missions while you wait, or you can skip time to progress faster.
Exploration Can Be Rewarding
CDPR has been sneaky, and the developers have hidden Iconic weapons in some rather odd places. If you like to explore, then taking a look around different areas can be very rewarding. You can often find these weapons around corners or hidden behind objects. So it is worth taking a look around.
