Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 is live and is available ahead of the Phantom Liberty DLC. Unlike the paid DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 is free and overhauls plenty of things, such as the skill tree and perks. In this Cyberpunk 2077 guide, I go over some of the best skills that you should get in update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty.

Best Skills To Get In Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty (Update 2.0)

Best Body Skills

Body increases your physical power but also affects your health. Each point in body will give +2 to your max health.

Painkiller

Once you have 4 points invested into body, you can unlock Painkiller, which gives you slow health regeneration during combat. Combat can get pretty tough in Cyberpunk 2077, especially if you are in the new area introduced in Phantom Liberty. Healing does take up time, so Painkiller gives you small health regeneration, which increases your survivability. It also has secondary perks that allow you to further increase that health regeneration.

Wrecking Ball

At body level 9, you unlock Wrecking Ball, which allows you to barge into enemies while sprinting and blocking with blunt weapons at level 2. This has a chance of knocking down enemies, which makes it ideal for melee builds.

Spontaneous Obliteration

This works with Shotguns, LMGs, and HMGs. At level 1, recoil is reduced by 15%. At level 2, you get a 10% damage buff to nearby enemies. The most important effect is unlocked at level 3, where you get the ability to sometimes instantly kill and dismember enemies that are at low health. You can imagine how much fun this perk is going to be with a good shotgun or LMG build.

Adrenaline Rush

Adrenaline Rush is one of the best skills that you can get in Cyberpunk Update 2.0, and I recommend every build to have this since it buffs max health by 35% at level 1, buffs health regeneration by 20% at level 2, and unlocks adrenaline rush mode at level 3. You can think of adrenaline as a secondary health bar, and it allows you to absorb damage, but it does decay over time.

Best Reflex Skills

Reflexes determine your maneuverability. Each point you invest into Reflex will increase crit chance by 0.5%.

Dash

If you are going for an agile build and want to wield swords, then dash is going to come in handy since it allows you to quickly move closer to enemies but also get out of tricky situations.

Air Dash

Air Dash is similar to Dash, but it allows you to Dash while you are in the air. This can pair very well with swords and other melee weapons.

Lead And Steel

This is a very interesting perk that reduces the amount of stamina consumed by blade attacks by 15% at level 1. At level 2, you unlock the ability to block incoming projectiles with your blades at the cost of stamina. This perk pairs very well with Dash and Air Dash.

Slaughterhouse

If you are going for a blade build, then this is the ultimate skill that you want to have. Slaughterhouse only affects blades and applies bleed to all attacks, counterattacks, and deflected bullets. While bleeding does not kill enemies, it does make them more prone to finishers. The perk also increases the chance of dismembering enemies, and you get +25 stamina from dismemberment.

Sharpshooter

If you are not interested in using blades and would rather use Assault Rifles and SMGs, then Sharpshooter is the perk that you should pick. It increases aim speed by 15% at level 1, improves weapon control at level 2 and at level 3; each successful shot gives a stack of Sharpshooter +7 stamina regeneration for 2 seconds per stack. It can be stacked 7 times.

Best Technical Skills

Your technical skills deal with your technical abilities, explosives, and cyberwar. Each attribute point you invest into Technical Ability will add +2 armor.

License To Chrome

This perk increases your cyberwar stat modifiers by 10% at level 1, adds 40 armor at level 2 and inlocks a new cyberwar slot at level 3. It is a nice perk to have in general, even if you are not planning on hacking much or going for a cyberware-heavy build.

Ambidextrous And Built Different

This is a secondary perk and unlocks a cyberware slot for your hands. If you are planning on going all in on cyberware, then this perk is going to come in handy. Built Different adds yet another cyberware slot, allowing you to get as much hardware into you as possible.

Edgerunner

This is a clear shoutout to the anime, and the perk allows you to push your cyberware capacity up by 50 points at the cost of -0.5% health per point over the capacity. For each point over the capacity, there is a 0.1% chance of breaking into a Fury, which gives you +10% damage, +30% critical chance, and +50% critical damage. Which is a massive boost on top of what you already have.

Bolt

If you like using tech weapons, then this skill is for you. It increases tech weapon charge speed by 20% at level 1, increases tech weapon charged shot damage by 15% at level 2, and unlocks Bolt Shots at level 3.

Best Intelligence Skills

Intelligence is what dictates your netrunning capabilities. You get an +1 Max RAM per 4 attribute points that you invest into Intelligence. RAM allows you to hack effectively, and so the perks and skills in the skill tree as mostly related to hacking.

Hack Queue

Gain +1 Max RAM at level 1. Unlocks quickhacks queues at level 2, which enables two quick hacks on a single enemy. Queued quickhacks upload automatically in the order in which they are added. You also gain a +30% upload speed buff for the second quickhack in the queue.

Car Hackers

This is a general perk that you should get even if you are not into hacking since it unlocks car quickhacks, allowing you to remotely take control of cars, set off their alarms, and even make them explode.

Best Cool Skills

Cool is what determines your stealth and assassination skills. Each attribute point you invest into cool gives you +1.25 crit damage. The following are some of the best cool skills that we recommend or Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0.

Road Warrior

This allows you to use Sandevistan to slow time while you are driving. You also gain a 15% weapon damage buff when your vehicle is drifting or in the air. You can check out our guide on how you can get the Sandevistan.

Ninjitsu

At level 15, you can unlock Ninjitsu. This will increase your movement and mitigation chance when crouching by 15%. At level 3, you are able to run while crouching. This allows you to move faster while keeping your stealth intact.

Deadeye

If you are using precision weapons and like getting headshots, then you can pick Deadeye. This increases headshot and weak spot damage by 10% and reduces stamina consumption by 25% when shooting. At level 3, you unlock the Deadeye mode, which activates above 85% stamina and gives you +25% headshot and weak spot damage, along with no bullet spread.

Best Relic Skills

The new relic skill tree is different compared to other skill trees. You do not spend skill points in this skill tree. Instead, you spend Relic Points. You unlock more Relics by going around Dogtown and finding Militech Data Terminals to get Relic points.
