As you progress through Dead Island 2, you will find safes and locked areas that you can unlock by getting keys. While most of the keys can be obtained by defeating named or random zombies, that does not apply to all of the keys. In this Dead Island 2 guide, we go over how you can get Curtis’ Safe Key.
Getting Curtis’ Safe Key In Dead Island 2
For Curtis’ house, you need to fight two zombies, which will get you the keys to Curtis’ Garage and Curtis’ Safe. Unfortunately, you do not get access to these keys in the early parts of the game. You will only be able to access these keys once you have encountered the first Screamer zombie. Once you have done that, you have a chance to encounter a unique Screamer that spawns inside Curtis’ house. This is the screamer that you need to defeat in order to get the key.
So while most keys are dropped by random zombies, you need to defeat two separate zombies to get the keys for Curtis’ Garage and Curtis’ Safe, and you can only access the keys once you have defeated the first screamer in the game.
