Cult Of The Lamb Final Boss Guide: How To Beat

Once you have beaten the 4 Bishops, you can take on the final boss in Cult of the Lamb. You will need 20 followers in order to enter the gateway and get to the boss arena. In this Cult of the Lamb guide, we are going to go over how you can beat the final boss.

Note that there is no crusade that you need to complete for this boss. It is a four-phase battle so get your weapon and curse and be ready.

How To Defeat The Final Boss In Cult Of The Lamb

The following are the 4 stages of the encounter and what you need to know about each one of them:

How To Beat Baal

You cannot fight The One Who Waits directly. You will first need to defeat two of its guards. Baal is the first one that you need to defeat. His basic melee attack can easily be avoided and you can roll away from his three-hit combo and then head in to land a few hits of your own.

Baal

You will notice that Baal pauses for a bit and concentrated, when that happens you need to be ready to move as the boss is going to summon arrows from below. These can be of the homing kinds as well so be sure to stay off the targets on the ground in order to avoid taking damage.

Baal can summon a pair of low-level cultists to help him battle. You will need to defeat them as well.

How To Beat Aym

Aym is similar to Baal. But rather than summon enemies, this boss likes to throw rings of fire. When that happens you need to roll away in order to avoid taking damage. You will need to dodge the spike spells and melee attacks just like with Baal.

Baal and Aym drop blue and red hearts. Pick these up when you need to heal. They will stay there, so you do not need to worry about them timing out.

How To Beat The One Who Waits

With the guards out of the way, you can now take on the final boss in Cult of the Lamb. The boss can use the line of spikes just like you so you will need to avoid that attack. The boss can also throw rings at you which follow you. You will need to run and dodge around them. You should not roll through them as you will get burnt.

The boss will throw a big burst of fireballs at you. When that happens back up and you should be able to slip between them and avoid taking damage. The boss can also float in the center of the arena and create beams of fire that rotate. If you can pace yourself with the beams then you can deal damage while avoiding the move.

Phase Two

This is the final phase of the final boss fight. During this phase, the boss is going to pop out its eyeballs. Each of them shares the HP bar. The eyes will dig into the ground after a few hits. Do watch out for the fireballs that come your way during this phase.

Cult Of The Lamb Final Boss phase 2

The boss can fire clumps at you. They move slowly so you can move around them. The eyes can throw rings at you so you will need to roll out of the way when that happens. There is a non-fire attack that you need to look out for during which the boss throws balls of acid. Avoid the targets on the ground to make sure you do not take any damage from this attack.

Once the boss HP is down to 2/3rd, one of the eyes will be destroyed. The One Who Waits will then use three pairs of rings, so keep an eye out for those and be ready to roll out of the way. Once the HP bar is down by another third, another eye will be destroyed and you will need to dodge another set of fire attacks.

Note that as you destroy the eyeballs, the ones that remain on the battlefield will attack faster. Once the HP bar is almost depleted, the final eyeball is going to pop and The One Who Waits will come down to your level. You can then run up to the boss and land some blows in order to defeat him.
