Civilization 6 Gaul (Ambiorix) Guide: Unique Units, District

The new Gauls faction in Civilization 6 is led by Ambiorix. This civilization is now available to the owners of Civilization 6: New Frontier. The Gauls have their own unique district, unit, and more that give them their own flavor. In this guide, we will go through all of the Gauls uniques available in Civilization 6.

All Civilization 6 Gaul (Ambiorix) Uniques

There are four main uniques for Gaul diety that impact how they play and react to different situations in Civilization 6. The following is everything you need to know about Gaul uniques.

Ambiorix’s leader ability – King of the Eburones

Every non-civilian unit you train gives 20% of its cost as culture and +2 combat to melee, range units, and anti-cavalry units for each adjacent military unit.

Unique unit – Gaesatae

This is the unique unit available to Gaul in Civilization 6. It is going to cost you more than what it replaces but you do get +10 combat against units that have higher base combat strength. Moreover, you get +5 combat against defenses.

Unique district – Oppidum

You can build it earlier and at a lower cost compared to what it replaces. It has ranged attack and unlocks the Apprenticeship tech when the first district is constructed.

Gaul’s unique ability – Hallstatt Culture

This unique enables mines to give +1 culture, culture bomb adjacent tiles. You will also get a minor adjacent bonus of +0.5 for all districts. Moreover, specialty districts can’t be placed near the city center. There is also no minor adjacency bonus if it is near other districts in the game.
