Over the past few days, we have heard rumors of a March 25th announcement from Rockstar Games to reveal GTA VI. It held very little weight because reports and rumors like these are in abundance online and so far, not one has proven to be accurate. However, an interesting development took place earlier which gives some weight to the March 25th announcement rumor. The Grand Theft Auto 6 domain got updated on March 23 and it no longer redirects to the Rockstar Games website. Usually, this happens when a website is ready to launch, for those who don’t know, same happened before the reveal of GTA 5. If you visit gtav.com, gtavii.com, and gtaviii.com it takes you to the official Rockstar Games. Until now, gtavi.com did the same.  This is a very interesting development and one can only hope that it does bring us some sort of news regarding Rockstar…

Darksiders is a cult classic and the first 3 games feature a separate horseman of the apocalypse but that was not always intended. Comic-book-artist-turned-game director Joe Madureira talked about the development of the first Darksiders game and mentioned that he wanted to make a 4 player co-op game from the start. Being a Darksiders fan myself, I know how much the fans want a fourth game for Strife and then a 4 player co-op game in which players can pick from the different horsemen. So why did that never happen? Here is what Madureira had to say regarding the matter. Not at all. The original concept for the first game was four-player co-op – which was completely insane, of course. It was hard enough just making a single character fun. I had them all visualised already though, and Death was kind of staring us in the face, just begging for…

One of the things that made the original Resident Evil 3 great was live selection which gave players multiple endings. This means that players could play the game over and over against. It seems that Resident Evil 3 remake will not have Live Selection or multiple endings. Capcom producer Peter Fabiano talked about live selection and here is what he had to say regarding the matter: One of the reasons they included Live Selection in the original is that the schedule was quite tight, there was a lot of limitations in what they could do and they wanted to add replay value. And one of the things they came up with was adding Live Selection, but this time round we’re telling one consistent story. So Resident Evil 3 is not going to feature Live selection or multiple endings and will be more linear. Peter Fabiano also talked about Nemesis and…

The Resident Evil 3 is out now and you can download it and check it out for yourself. Meanwhile, we have more information regarding the big baddie in Resident Evil 3, Nemesis. Capcom producer Peter Fabiano talked about the baddie and here we are going to go over what he had to say. Fabiano mentioned that Nemesis Tyrant was similar to Nemesis in the previous game so they had to take things up a notch. The following is what he had to say regarding the matter: The director looked at what they had done with the Tyrant in RE2 and was like, ‘Wait a minute! They’ve Nemesis-ified him!’ So it was like taking it that one step further – we needed to make Nemesis ferocious and a real threat, and I think you’ll feel that when you play the game. Furthermore, Fabiano talked about how Nemesis is going to be…

Since the Coronavirus outbreak, many industries around the world have suffered from product delays and stock plummets. Hollywood is one of the biggest industries to suffer along with the travel industry. However, in the midst of all the chaos, the gaming industry is proving to be a “safe haven.” We are seeing a significant increase in the concurrent user base of online gaming platforms. For example, Steam just went past 22 million concurrent users. According to a report from Redeye, a Swedish securities company, the pandemic has made the video game industry a safer bet. While stocks in this sector plummeted like the rest of the global stock market, the effect is not in the same degree. ..this is a healthy sign in an overall unhealthy market. Gaming companies will likely benefit when more and more people are quarantined around the world. The world’s biggest platform for PC-games, Steam has…

Sony Computer Entertainment is seemingly planning to put a screen on the Dualshock controller. According to a new patent from the makers of PlayStation, this screen will provide tactile feedback to the players. What’s really interesting about the design is that the screen comes off. A user can attach or detach this “portable device” from the Dualshock controller (as seen in the image below). The screen allows the player to navigate in-game menus or the PlayStation Home Screen. An example of its use it provided below where you can see the screen being used to navigate Huldra’s shop in God of War. In addition to displaying information, this device allows the user to interact with the displayed information. This indicates that for example, while playing God of War you can adjust game settings, your character builds, check out active objectives, and read in-game lore, all without pausing to enter the…
