Over the past few weeks, we have been keeping an eye on Playground Games, especially the staff it is hiring. There are two games in development at the studio right now – Forza Horizon 5 and an RPG game. This new RPG game is putting together a strong development team that consists of former Rockstar devs, and veterans from Cloud Imperium. The game has been in development for at least a couple of years at this point and we are fairly certain that it is an Xbox Scarlett launch window title. So it is odd to know that Playground Games’ new RPG title is still in the “early stage” of development. Playground Games is looking for a lead UI engineer who will join the project at the early stages of development, says the job listing. Sony Interactive Entertainment uses a new slogan for each new console generation. Sometimes the slogan changes mid-gen but there is always something new when hardware advancements are made. Now, it looks like we are moving on from PlayStation 4’s “For the Players” and “Greatness Awaits” to PlayStation 5’s “Be Amazing, Be Amazed, Be PlayStation.” The slogan comes from a new poster for Concrete Genie that was posted during a recent promotional event. From what we can tell, this slogan has never been used before by PlayStation. It could quite possibly be the next one for PlayStation 5, joining the likes of “Live in your world. Play in ours,” and “It only does everything”. 2020 The Year of PlayStation Sony did an interview with Wired a few days ago and confirmed a handful of information about PS5. According to Sony, PS5 is releasing during the holiday season of 2020.  It also…

What is Rockstar Games working on? Some say Max Payne, others think Grand Theft Auto 6. But one thing that we recently found out is that Bully 2 is out of the question. While it’s not official, that’s what the reports say. Anyways, apart from the recently announced Red Dead Redemption 2 PC, there are  “a couple of more” games in development at Rockstar Games, says former Rockstar India dev. The developer in question is Angith Jayarajan, who worked with Rockstar India in Bangalore for 6-months. Of course, he can’t name which games he worked on during his time at the studio. I had an interest in art…

About 4 days ago, I wrote about EA’s new Anti-Cheat system that is able to access your non-volatile memory to spot malicious software. The story got covered by multiple publications and many of you shared it on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter and discussed what’s going on. Interestingly, the article also reached a professional “Reverse Engineer” with experience in analyzing Anti-cheat measures as a hobby/enthusiast, and he shared some rather insightful but concerning details about EA’s “unknown” and “secret” Anti-Cheat system. First off, the Electronic Arts Anti-Cheat system has been in the work for a while, in fact, it is implemented in Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V already. The first known sighting of this anti-cheat system was back in December 2017 on a hacking forum. However, according to our source, at the time the “modules were in very early stages of development, and not very sophisticated.” EA created the system to counter…
