Resident Evil Resistance has been revealed and it is a very different game as compared to the previous ones. With that in mind, fans are interested in learning about the direction of the franchise and what upcoming Resident Evil games are going to be like. Producer Mark Walker has confirmed that Resident Evil Resistance is going to stay true to the IP. Companies do branch out and when that happens the games no longer stay true to the franchise IP which is something that Resident Evil Resistance is not looking to do and which is something that Walker already knows. Here is what he had to say regarding the matter: We as a company need to continue to branch out and try to offer up new gameplay in addition to refining the experiences people expect from us. If we just continue to offer up the same thing over and over…

Disintegration is a new FPS game that we got to see at E3 2019 and from what we have seen and heard so far, it looks kind of like Destiny 2. But that means that it is a re-skin with a different story? That is not the case. V1 Interactive talked about the game and explained how Disintegration is different when compared to other games such as Destiny 2. V1 Interactive’s President Marcus Lehto talked about the pace of the game and how things are slowed down so that the player has more time to think about strategy.  The following is what he had to say regarding the matter: We like to call it in the studio a thinking person’s first-person shooter, or an aerial tactical shooter. We slowed things down to allow the player to take their time and tactically use those units and play the game more strategically,…

Over the past few months, Sony Interactive Entertainment has filed various patents that describe PlayStation’s upcoming help assistant and social systems. Sony is working on creating a system that allows players to pull in community-generated images and videos for in-game help. The gameplay advice system (aka PlayStation Assistant) is presumably in the works for PlayStation 5. With this new Sony patent, we are able to know a bit more about the process, mainly how “gameplay advice” is going to be ranked on the PlayStation Network Servers. The system will rate user-generated game play advice based on feedback from other users. For example, if you are stuck on a hard boss and someone gives you good advice, you can give positive feedback to help that content rank higher. Management of user-generated game play advice is disclosed. The present invention allows for management of game play advice that is complete and up-to-date…

Xbox Scarlett is the next-generation console that Microsoft is working on. When Xbox One came out it was supposed to support VR and the same was the case with Xbox One X but that never happened. Phil Spencer has now confirmed that Xbox Scarlett will not support VR as there is little demand for it. It made sense for the PS4 because so many units were already sold and all people had to do was get an additional headset which was not very expensive compared to other VR headsets on the market. Here is what Phil Spencer had to say regarding Xbox Scarlett not getting VR support: I have some issues with VR — it’s isolating and I think of games as a communal, kind of together experience. We’re responding to what our customers are asking for and… nobody’s asking for VR. The vast majority of our customers know if…

In recent weeks we found out publishers are pushing their games further into 2020. One of the leading publishers to delays a number of games are Ubisoft. The company delays a handful of games from 2019 to 2020, and early 2020 to mid-to-late 2022. Moreover, it’s a bit curious how publishers aren’t talking at all about their upcoming, in development projects. One theory is that publishers are holding back their games in preparation for Xbox Scarlett and PlayStation 5. It makes sense as we are at the end of the console cycle, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are at the end of their road. This theory appears to be popular among all Xbox Insiders who shared their views in the latest issue of Xbox Magazine. Xbox’s Chris Burke fears we’ll see more delays next Spring. These delays I fear are something we’ll see more of next spring, because I find…

One of the top streamers and self-proclaimed “face of Twitch,” Dr.Disrespect thinks PUBG Esports events are too complicated. The coverage and how the events are presented makes it hard to connect with the teams and enjoy the stream. During his latest Twitch Stream, while playing PUBG, Dr.Disrespect stated that PUBG is the “funnest” games to spectate, however, over-complicated Esports events are ruining it. Been watching some of those Battlegrounds pro matches. I don’t know what to think of them. Like I’m watching more of UI. Here’s the perfect analogy for watching PUBG matches; it feels like watching a simulated match. You know how it Madden/NBA2K rather than you play against the computer you go ‘hey, let me simulate that game.’ That’s what it looks like to me. Doc suggested that PUBG Esports events should remove all the “ugly-looking” colors and UI. Especially remove extra UI, numbers, and colors after the…

For almost a decade, quad-core processors or CPUs with 4 Cores and 4 Threads have reigned supreme in 1080p gaming. This reign has come to an end and these 4 Core/ 4 Threaded Intel Core i5s or Ryzen CPUs will no longer be suitable for gaming as this console generation comes to an end. Most of you understand why the CPU requirements of a PC game are directly proportional to console specs. For those who don’t, let me give you a brief rundown. The fact that video game sales are significantly higher on consoles than PC, game developers focus primarily to perfect their game engines for consoles. Furthermore, to avoid disparity in visual fidelity, PC gamers are more or less bound by console specs. Hence, the only true advancement in graphics is seen when a console generation is near its end. Both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One feature custom AMD…

The Last Of Us Part 2 is one of the most anticipated games that is going to come out next year. The devs have been talking about the game and we have learned a few new details in the past couple of weeks. The co-writer of The Last Of Us Part 2, Halley Gross talked about the game and mentioned how it is a story about the cycle of violence and more. The following is what he had to say regarding the matter: Ultimately, this is a story about the cycle of violence, right? But beyond that, it’s a conversation about the effects systemic trauma can have on your soul She mentioned that Ellie has gone through some traumatic experiences on her journey and all that will impact how she engages with the world around her. She went on to mention the following in this regard: Obviously Ellie experiences this…

Control has already released on the current generation consoles but it is also coming to PS5 and Xbox Scarlett. The PS5 and Xbox Scarlett have better hardware and SSDs which will make the game perform even better.  The devs at Remedy talked about how well the PS5 hardware will be able to run Control and they mentioned that the game will look and perform even better on the new hardware. Tatu Aalto, lead graphics programmer at Remedy touched on Ray Tracing. Here is what he had to say regarding the matter: Ray tracing is a fundamental shift in how to approach computer graphics. Gradual improvements in processing power and programmability have made it possible to do very accurate material shading and effects on the previous generation already, but for global connectivity games have used either precomputed static data, or relied on incomplete screen space information. Ray tracing is not just…

In recent weeks Sony has confirmed plenty of details about the PS5 but we do not know how much it is going to cost or when exactly it is going to come out. Leaker PSErebus has now revealed some new information regarding the release date and the price of the PS5. PSErebus has been right about the things in the past so the person does have some credibility but this is a leak at the end of the day so do take this information with a grain of salt. That said, according to him the PS5 is going to release in less than a year. The release date for Playstation 5 is going to be November 20th, 2020. He also mentioned that the console is going to cost $499. This is very expensive indeed keeping in mind the price range of the current consoles. Even the Xbox One with the…
