PSVR 2 has been rumored for a while now and new patents show that sony is working on a wireless VR headset for the PS5. Keeping in mind that the upcoming console is going to be far more powerful than the PS4, it might just be possible. The latest patent shows a new PSVR 2 design along with new controllers that have cameras. The PSVR 2 seems to have cameras built into the headset and they are not only at the front of the headset but apparently on the back as well. It is to be noted that this confirms the patent RespawnFirst dug up a few weeks ago. The patent shows that the PSVR 2 is going to have two cameras at the front of the headset and another one at the back. There is a box under the display in the patent which is most likely the PS5…

Windows Hello is a feature that allows users to unlock their PCs or laptops with their faces. This feature is available on iPhone but we have yet to get something like that for Macs and Macbooks. New Apple patent updates indicate that upcoming Macbooks could get face unlock and facial recognition. Upcoming Macbooks To Feature Face Unlock There is little doubt that in order to pull this off the upcoming Macbooks are going to come with some additional sensors. It will be interesting to see how Apple is planning on keeping the bezels thin even with these sensors above the display. We are not sure that the sensors are indeed going to be above the display area but that would be the ideal spot. The face unlock patent for Macbooks was filed in 2009 but we have heard no such feature recently. The patent has recently been updated and that…

Intel Comet Lake-S is coming out soon and if you are interested in upgrading to the new CPUs then you are going to need a new motherboard as well. MSI has accidentally leaked the socket type for the upcoming Comet Lake-S CPUs and it seems that these chips are going to use the LGA 1200 socket. AMD has been very consistent when it comes to the socket type for the Ryzen series. The AM4 socket supports all the CPUs ranging from the 1st generation of Ryzen to the upcoming one. Intel, on the other hand, is still doing what it has always done and is changing the socket every 1-2 generations. While changing the socket is great for partners that are making the motherboards, it is an additional cost that the consumer needs to incur if he or she wants to upgrade. That is not the case with AMD Ryzen.…

The AMD Ryzen 4800U is the new CPU that AMD Announced at CES 2020. The CPU shows a lot of promise against Intel. AMD did show some official benchmarks of the AMD Ryzen 4800U against the competition Intel Core i7 1065G7 and while official numbers are great we have some other benchmarks that backup AMD’s claims. The AMD Ryzen 4800U does have more cores than the Intel Core i7 1065G7 so it makes sense that it is going to do better in multi-threaded applications but it seems that the chip performs better in single-threaded applications as well. You can check out the official benchmarks of the AMD Ryzen 4800U below: Now that we have got the official numbers out of the way, we can look at the third-party benchmarks that have been spotted online. Keep in mind that we are not sure how old these tests are. They could be…

Xbox Series X is the next-generation console from Microsoft and AMD seemed to have shown off the backside as well as some of the ports but that render turned out to be fake. Now we have information regarding the actual ports that you can find on the Xbox Series X and it has been confirmed that the upcoming console will not feature HDMI Pass-Through. Xbox Series X To Have A Single HDMI Port Previous Xbox consoles have had dual HDMI which can be used as HDMI Pass-Through so that you can connect other devices to the Xbox and make it an entertainment system of sorts but new reports claim that will not be the case with the Xbox Series X as it only has a single HDMI port. It is possible that Microsoft is not selling the Xbox Series X as an entertainment system but as a gaming console. This…

AMD showed off renders of the Xbox Series X in a video during CES 2020. The video includes a look around of the console. While we got to see a couple of ports including USB Type-A, USB Type-C and HDMI and media is speculating all kinds of things, the render of the  Xbox X shown by AMD at CES 2020 was not even real. AMD spokesperson confirmed that the render was not from Microsoft and that it is not accurate despite what some people might think. Here is what AMD had to say regarding the matter: The Xbox Series X imagery used during the AMD CES press conference was not sourced from Microsoft and does not accurately represent the design or features of the upcoming console. They were taken from TurboSquid.com. TurboSquid provides 3D models, and it appears that someone at AMD used one of the many renders available of…

Intel 10th generation mobile CPU benchmarks have been spotted online. Here we have the benchmarks for the Intel 10300H and 10750H mobile CPUs. The 10300 is an i5 CPU with 4 cores and 8 threads. The CPU has a base clock speed of 2.5 GHz and can boost to 4.43 GHz. That is not bad for a mobile CPU with 4 cores. The 10750 is an i7 model with 6 cores and 12 threads. The base clock speed of this CPU is 2.6 GHz and it can boost to 4.96 GHz. This is going to be more expensive, hence the higher core count and the faster clock speed. You can check out the benchmarks of the Intel 10750H Mobile CPU below: You can check out the benchmarks of the Intel 10300H Mobile CPU below: Intel has not done too well in the past year but that could change with the…

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) has patented a method of delivering low-latency wireless VR experiences on gaming consoles and PC.  AMD filed the patent late month on December 26 and it describes a method that will help create better VR experiences across the board. The method will help deliver “low latency” and high-quality visual experiences to the end-user.  In any wireless device, latency is always an issue but it looks like AMD has cracked low-latency wireless VR. The method includes using one or more server processors to wirelessly transmit the encoded and formatted portion of the next frame of video data to be displayed. The method is also able to use one or more client processors to wirelessly transmit user feedback information. Moreover, one or more client processors may be further configured to wirelessly transmit the encoded and formatted portion of the next frame of video data. The processor device may…
