Here’s How New Prestige System Works in Call of Duty: Vanguard

Prestige System in the newly released CoD: Vanguard has seen some changes. The said changes prevent all the unlocked weapons, etc. from going away but at the cost of a crazy grind that not everyone will appreciate. In this Call of Duty: Vanguard guide, we have detailed all there is to know about how the Prestige System works.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Prestige System

Prestige System in Call of Duty: Vanguard has changed a little from earlier installments in the series.

The player no longer loses all the hard-earned weapons, camos, perks, gear, etc. in order to enter Prestige. Aside from all this, there are a bunch of other rewards i.e., blueprints, emblems, BP tier skip, and icons.

But how does one do that?

To begin, simply play the game until Level 55. We have shared a few tips in our Rank Up Fast guide to doing the entire thing as effectively as possible. From this point on, there are no Ranks/Levels to get. Following this point, the player begins to get progress toward Season Levels which is how higher Prestige Ranks are unlocked. Here is a brief overview of these ranks:

  • Prestige 1 – Level 55
  • Prestige 2 – Season Level 50
  • Prestige 3 – Season Level 100

As of right now, there are only three Prestige Ranks available in the game but more are expected to be added in the future seasons.

There is one more thing that needs the player needs to keep in mind. Once a season is over, the Season Level resets but the Prestige Rank does not.

For instance, if a player ended Season 1 at Prestige 1, SR 25; he/she will be brought down to SR1 at the beginning of Season 2 and will need to earn those 25 SP ranks again. However, this does not happen if the player is already at a checkpoint e.g., Prestige 1, Prestige 2, etc. – just try and not leave the grind before hitting a checkpoint.

Obviously, not everyone has that kind of time to grind but it is something to keep in mind.

This is all we have got in how the Prestige System works in Call of Duty: Vanguard. For more help on the game, be sure to check out our detailed Call of Duty: Vanguard wiki page.
