Valheim is all about exploration and survival. On your travels, there will come a time when you need to build a dock for your boat if you are interested in exploring the waters. In this Valheim guide, we are going to go over how you can build a dock.
Building A Dock In Valheim
First, you need to pick the spot for the dock. It needs to be near water but we also recommend picking a place that is near your home as well. If you build near the land then you can extend the dock and then build on the water.
To build the dock you will need regular wood and core wood. Use the core wood to make supporting beams along the shore. Then you need to lay down the wood panels until they reach the top of the support beams. Keep doing this and you will be able to expand on the dock and customize it according to your wishes.
You can also build a boathouse in order to make things even better. Make sure that it is spaced right and away from the land so that you can fit the dock and the boat. We recommend not building where the water is too deep. That can cause issues for you.
