When it comes to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you are only limited by your imagination. Ofttimes, you will find yourself in need of crossing a lake or something to progress forward. Knowing how to create a fully-function boat in such a situation can save a lot of time. Luckily, thanks to a bunch of new abilities at your disposal, it is extremely simple to build a boat of your own in mere seconds. And this is what this guide is all about!

Building a Boat in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The first thing that you will need to do prior to building a boat is to have access to Ultrahand ability. We have detailed all the new abilities in a separate guide — make sure to check that.

In case you do not know, Ultrahand basically lets you glue multiple objects together in order to create vehicles, barricades, etc.

When it comes to building a boat, the first thing that you will need is create a platform. For this, you will need some Wooden Logs and then combine them all together — 2 Wooden Logs should be more than enough. Once that is done, you will need to attach a sail or a propeller (fan) on the backside. After that, all that remains is to push your makeshift boat into the water and sail away.

Do note that if you made a Propeller Boat, you will need to hit the propeller (fan) with any weapon in order to kickstart it. It is as simple as that!

In case you want to go even faster, you should be able to attach multiple propellers to create your very own hovercraft. Alternatively, if you think you will not need to traverse water any further, you should be able to attach wheels underneath it and use it as a ground vehicle. You are only limited by your imagination when it comes to Zelda: TOTK.
