Bugsnax Hut Customizations – Furniture, Walls, Decor, Beds

Customizing your hut in Bugsnax is a fun and engaging aspect of the game that allows you to express your creativity and make your space truly your own.

After completing a few early missions, Filbo will welcome you to Snaxburg and present you with your very own hut. Initially, it’s a bit rundown, lacking proper walls or a roof. To find your hut, head to the campfire in the center of Snaxburg. Face the entrance to Simmering Springs and walk in that direction until you see a mailbox. That’s yours! Turn right from the mailbox, and you’ll find your hut right in front of you. As you add more decorations to your hut, it will become easier to spot among the other huts.

You can later fast travel to your hut at any point.

How to Upgrade Hut in Bugsnax

Your hut starts off small, with only two spots for placing furniture, a spot for a bed, and a spot for hanging something on the wall. To complete the walls and roof, you’ll need to find Chandlo and bring him back to Snaxburg. Chandlo lives in Sugarpine Woods with Snorpy, and you can access them after retrieving Cromdo from Scorched Gorge. Once Chandlo arrives in Snaxburg, he’ll fix up your hut the next day, allowing you to hang items from the roof and decorate both the inside and outside of your walls.

To get a second level on your hut, you’ll need to complete a total of 50 requests. After you’ve done that, Filbo will tell you that Chandlo has built a second level to your hut. This is the maximum upgrade for your hut. You’ll need to fully furnish both levels of your hut to unlock the ‘Live Laugh Hut’ achievement.

Customization

For hut customization in Bugsnax, you need to be in close proximity to it. Once you’re near, switch to Building Mode (for Xbox users, this is done by pressing Y). You’ll notice a blue outline appearing on the areas where changes can be made. Approach these areas and select them (X button on Xbox). You’ll then be presented with a list of all the available items that can be placed in that particular spot. Pick the one you like the most and confirm your choice (A button on Xbox). Note that some spots for customization may not be available right away. You’ll need to unlock them by acquiring the appropriate item.

Customization items are typically obtained through completing requests or side quests. Once you’ve gained access to your hut, you’ll start receiving requests from the Grumpuses via mail. These requests can be viewed in your Journal under the hut symbol tab. At any given time, you’ll have 5 active requests to work on. Upon completion of a request, you’ll receive your reward and a new request will take its place.

The more requests you fulfill, the more items you’ll collect for customization. This allows you to tailor your hut to reflect your unique style. Additionally, don’t overlook the side quests given by the Grumpuses as they also offer rewards. With over 100 items to discover, you’ll have plenty of requests to keep you busy.

Exterior Walls

Painted Hut	Look into the disturbance at Snaxburg.	This will be acquired following a narrative event.
Bestie	Scan a Crapple that is carrying another Crapple.	Use a trail of chocolate sauce or a chocolate-dipped Buggy Ball to attract one Crapple to the other side of Simmering Springs, then cover it in chocolate to get the attention of the other Crapple.
Metal Plating	Feed an Aggroll to the unidentified grumpus.	The unidentified grumpus is Snorpy. Aggrolls can be found in Frosted Peak.
Bone and Stone	Scan a Pinkle that is wearing an Aggroll box.	The only location with both Bugsnax is the deepest cave in Frosted Peak. Melt the icicles trapping the Aggroll and the Pinkle, then use the Snakgrappler to remove both coverings. Pick up the Pinkle jar so it can’t retrieve it, and it should eventually go for the Aggroll box.
Igloo	Jump from the highest point in Frosted Peak to the lowest point.	The highest point in Frosted Peak is the ruins of an exploration team. To get enough distance, leap over the cliff from the jam bits with a running jump.
Knitted	Donate a mystery Bugsnak to Gramble’s barn.	It’s a Bugsnak that loves the cold and isn’t frosty or elusive – it’s a Cheery, found in Frosted Peak after breaking a Scoopy Banoopy apart.
Pirate Ship	Catch all Bugsnax in Boiling Bay	There are 15 Bugsnax in Boiling Bay.
Ebony-Stained Wood	Eliminate a Razzby	Donate a Razzby to Shelda’s donation box. Razzbies are found in Simmering Springs.
Eyes	Pick up the triangle key	The triangle key is locked behind a door in Broken Tooth, unlocked by bringing fire to the small ruin with the Pielobite.
Gilded	Take a power nap.	To take a power nap, simply go to sleep and wake up within a very short time span. For instance, go to sleep at 4:50 AM and select the 5:00 AM wake-up time.
Police Tape	Remove toilet paper from the outhouse.	Pick up all three rolls of toilet paper and remove them from the outhouse. This reward will trigger when a grumpus attempts to use the toilet – Beffica does so at noon every day, so you can rest until this time to trigger the reward quickly.

Wood Panel Print	Feed a Caramel Poptick to the unidentified grumpus.	The unidentified grumpus is Wambus. Caramel Popticks can be found in Frosted Falls when it’s raining.
Blueprint Print	Catch 5 Snakpods in under 30 seconds.	There are 5 spawn points for Snakpods in each area of the game. The best area to do this is Garden Grove. They only respawn once you’ve caught them all once. If both balls end up in the river, leave and return to Snaxburg and they’ll respawn.
Wind Chimes	Locate a lost item for Shelda.	Shelda’s bag of herbs can be located in Sizzlin’ Sands at the same level as the Cheese Sauce plants near the Scorpepper. You can use the Lunchpad to reach there.
Rock Club Sign	Transform a grumpus using 13 different fruit-containing snax. Snaxgoyle	Spot the Snaxsquatch in 3 different locations.	There are three easy places where you can take a picture of the Snaxsquatch: In Scorched Gorge between the windmills opposite Cromdo’s camp. You can rest in the camp until it spawns – it only spawns in the morning. In Garden Grove to the right of the bridge as you enter from Snaxburg. Only appears at night and you can spam sleeping in Beffica’s cave. In Sugarpine Woods to the right of the entrance at night. You can sleep in Snorpy’s hut until it spawns.

Bookshelf	Capture 10 Bugsnax in under 90 seconds.	Flavor Falls is a good place to capture 10 Bugsnax within a span of 90 seconds, especially after you’ve defeated Mama Mewon. You can easily reach the target of 10 Bugsnax with 4 pieces of Sandopede, a Strabby, 3 Wee Mewons, and the Crispsy Snakpods found in the Mama Mewon arena and the cliff where you had your initial fall at the start of the game.
Armoire	Transform a grumpus using all 4 Sweetiefly variants.	To transform a grumpus, you need to use the following Bugsnax: Sweetiefly (available in Garden Grove), Lovely Sweetiefly (found in Simmering Springs), Crystal Sweetiefly (located in Scorched Gorge), and Rainbow Sweetiefly (found in Sugarpine Woods).

Prehistoric Floorcloth	Scan a flaming BBQ Bunger.	In Scorched Gorge, go to the right and ascend the stairs. Apply hot sauce (which can be harvested nearby) on the BBQ Bunger there and then attract it towards the Scorpenyo using ranch dressing. The Scorpenyo will ignite it.
Loose Newspaper	Return Snorpy to Snaxburg.	Snorpy, who is located in Sugarpine Woods, needs to be brought back to Snaxburg.
Pawprint Rug	Find a lost item for Filbo.	Filbo’s lost laundry bag is on top of Triffany’s tent in Snaxburg. To reach it, go to the second floor of Lizbert and Eggabell’s hut, leap from the plank over to Beffica’s hut, jump to the top of the arch leading to the desert areas, and then to the tent.
Sauce Rug	Find all the sauces.	This will come naturally after obtaining ketchup, ranch dressing, chocolate, cheese, hot sauce, and peanut butter.
Chemistry Rug	Transform a grumpus using all 8 Snakpod variants.	Transform a grumpus using a Snakpod variant from every single area of the game, excluding Snaxburg and Broken Tooth.
Money Print Rug	Capture all Bugsnax in Scorched Gorge.	Capture all 12 Bugsnax that are found in Scorched Gorge.

Mini Cactriffy	Complete all sidequests for Wambus.	This will be awarded after completing all of Wambus’s sidequests, including the “Harvest Time” quest that involves a visit to Wambus after planting some burrowing snax in his farm..
Strabby Hat	Complete all sidequests for Gramble.	This will be given after you’ve completed all of Gramble’s sidequests, including the “Love is Patient” quest that involves a visit to Gramble after the previous quest.
First Aid Kit	Stay on fire continuously for over 30 seconds.	The most effective way to achieve this is by going to Boiling Bay and walking around the lava flow in the cave for a continuous 30 seconds.
Record Player	Complete all sidequests for Wiggle.	This will be awarded after completing all of Wiggle’s sidequests, including the “Dance with the Dragon” quest that involves defeating Megamaki.
Salt Crystals	Complete all sidequests for Shelda.	This will be given after completing all of Shelda’s sidequests, including the “False Idol” quest that involves donating some Bugsnax to Shelda’s donation box.
Boombox	Complete all sidequests for Cromdo.	This will be awarded after completing all of Cromdo’s sidequests, including the “A Slice of Heaven” quest that involves defeating Mothza Supreme.
Grumpus Skull	Complete all sidequests for Triffany.	This will be given after completing all of Triffany’s sidequests, including the “A Peak to Forget” quest that involves a conversation with Floofty.

Protective Coat Hangers	Catch 5 different Bugsnax in under 60 seconds.	The ideal place for this is Flavor Falls. Follow these steps: Set up your Snak Trap for the furthest Strabby, set up your Trip Shot to break the Sub Sandopede, capture the Strabby and at least one Sandopede and one Sub Sandopede, use your Snak Grappler to grab the jar from the nearby Pinkle, and finally, deploy your Buggy Ball and send it through the hole in the wall to capture the Ruby Peelbug.
Ceiling Fan	Pick up all of Cromdo’s discarded posters.	Collect all of Cromdo’s posters that you put up earlier in the game.
Test Tube Lights	Transform a grumpus using 3 different compound snax.	Transform a grumpus using three of the following Bugsnax: Preying Picantis, Scoopy Banoopy, Paletoss Grande, Big Bopsicle.
Knit Baskets	Donate the mystery Bugsnak to Gramble’s barn.	The mystery Bugsnak is a Black Lollive, a desert-dwelling, flying snak that isn’t sweet or meaty, and isn’t a Cheepoof. It can be found in Sizzlin’ Sands.
Streamers	Return all the grumpuses to Snaxburg.	You’ll need to complete all of Eggabell’s quests and return all the grumpuses to Snaxburg, even though Eggabell herself doesn’t return.
Hanging Pots	Catch all Bugsnax in Frosted Peak.	Catch all 14 Bugsnax that reside in Frosted Peak.
Chandolier	Capture all Bugsnax in Broken Tooth.	Catch all 11 Bugsnax that can be found in Broken Tooth.

Beach Chair and Umbrella	Transform a grumpus using all 4 Peelbug variants.	You can transform a grumpus using the Green Peelbug from Scorched Gorge, Orange Peelbug from Simmering Springs, Ruby Peelbug from Flavor Falls, and Yellow Peelbug from Sugarpine Woods.
Home Gym	Catch one too many snax with a fully expanded Snakpack.	Once your Snakpack can carry 18 Bugsnax, fill it up and then catch an additional one.
Bug Juice Dispenser	Feed a Flamin’ Cheepoof to the mystery grumpus.	The mystery grumpus is Cromdo. You can find Flamin’ Cheepoofs in Boiling Bay.
Kiddie Pool	Scan a Grapeskeeto sucking a Noodler.	First, lure a Noodler from the inner cavern of Boiling Bay to the beach. Then, extinguish the Noodler’s flames using either a Paletoss or a Dr. Sodie. Only then can you lure a Grapeskeeto with Chocolate Sauce onto the Noodler. If you try to get the Snak to suck the Noodler while it’s on fire, it’ll fail.
Hot Tub	Capture all Bugsnax in Sugarpine Woods.	There are 10 different Bugsnax that you need to catch in Sugarpine Woods.
Snow Grump	Fall from the highest point in Frosted Peak to the lowest point.	The highest point in Frosted Peak is the ruins of an exploration team. You can leap over the cliff from the jam bits with a running jump to get enough distance.
Zen Garden	Purge a Scorpepper or Scorpenyo.	Donate either a Scorpepper or Scorpenyo to Shelda’s donation box. Scorpeppers are found in Scorched Gorge, and Scorpenyos are found in Sizzlin’ Sands.
Garden Gnome	Complete 80 letters.	Simply keep completing requests and you’ll achieve this.

Pink Oleander	Donate the mystery Bugsnak to Gramble’s barn.	The mystery Bugsnak is a Lovely Sweetiefly, a heart-shaped flying creature found in Simmering Springs.
Red Ti Plant	Return Floofty to Snaxburg.	Floofty, who is located in Boiling Bay, needs to be returned to Snaxburg.
Palm Tree	Capture all Bugsnax in Simmering Springs.	There are a total of 12 Bugsnax that need to be captured in Simmering Springs.
Sauce Plant Seedlings	Find all the sauces.	This will naturally occur once you’ve collected ketchup, ranch dressing, chocolate, cheese, hot sauce, and peanut butter.
Metalworks Flower	Feed an Aggroll to the mystery grumpus.	The mystery grumpus is Snorpy. Feed him an Aggroll, which can be found in Frosted Peak.
Barrel Cacti	Scan a Picantis caught in a Flapjackarak’s whirlwind.	Lure a Preying Picantis to a Flapjackarak by making it angry. Once they’ve noticed each other, quickly move away and prepare your camera – capturing the airborne Picantis requires precise timing.
Purple Lupin	Scan a frozen Stewdler.	To achieve this, you need to lure a Scoopy Banoopy into the small cave at the bottom of Frosted Peak and direct it towards the Stewdler. This can be done with Chocolate Sauce or simply by making it angry. Ensure you cool and then freeze the Stewdler before the Scoopy Banoopy explodes.
Prairie Grass	Purge a Loaded Spuddy.	Donate a Loaded Spuddy to Shelda’s donation box. These can be found in Sizzlin’ Sands.
Orange Bloodroot	Catch 3 different types of Bugsnax all at once.	A good strategy is to target the chocolate-loving snax in Simmering Springs. You can lure Green Lollives, Crapples, Razzbies, Tropicabugs, and Kweebles into your Snak Trap simultaneously.
Planted Snax	Catch Cactriffy out and about.	Take a photo of Cactriffy (Wambus’ cactus that is shaped like Triffany) when it is not in the hut. If it’s not in the hut, look for it elsewhere in Snaxburg.
Matilija Poppy	Scope the Snaxsquatch in 3 different locations.	There are three convenient places to photograph the Snaxsquatch: In Scorched Gorge between the windmills opposite Cromdo’s camp (it only spawns in the morning and you can rest in the camp until it appears); In Garden Grove to the right of the bridge as you enter from Snaxburg (it only appears at night and you can repeatedly sleep in Beffica’s cave until it appears); In Sugarpine Woods to the right of the entrance at night (you can sleep in Snorpy’s hut until it appears).

Rustic Bed	Capture all Bugsnax in Flavor Falls.	Flavor Falls is home to 13 different Bugsnax that you need to catch.
Worn Mattress	Transform a grumpus using 3 different breakfast pastry snax.	The three breakfast pastry snax include Cinnasnail, Waffstackarack, and Spirnklepede.
Beheading Machine	Find a lost item for Floofty.	Floofty’s lost item is in the cave in the main section of Boiling Bay. Use the Lunchpad to the right of the lavafall to boost yourself up and platform across to the sack. If you catch fire, aim for the wall to avoid walking off the platform.
Bone and Stone Bed	Scan a Pinkle wearing an Aggroll box.	The only location with both Bugsnax is the lowest cave in Frosted Peak. Melt the icicles holding the Aggroll and the Pinkle, then use the Snakgrappler to remove both coverings. Pick up the Pinkle jar so it can’t retrieve it and it should eventually go for the Aggroll box.
Deprivation Tank	Catch 10 Bugsnax in under 90 seconds.	A suitable location for this task is Flavor Falls after defeating Mama Mewon. You can easily reach 10 Bugsnax with 4 Sandopede pieces, a Strabby, 3 Wee Mewons, and the Crispsy Snakpods found in the Mama Mewon arena and the cliff where you fell at the start of the game.
Knit Bed	Donate the mystery Bugsnax to Gramble’s barn.	The mystery Bugsnax is a Cobhopper, a snak that jumps from tree to tree in the forest.
Medical Bed	Feed a single grumpus over 25 different Bugsnax.	You can achieve this by donating multiple quantities of the same Bugsnax.
Meditation Cushion	Purge a Loaded Spuddy.	Donate a Loaded Spuddy, which can be found in Sizzlin’ Sands, to Shelda’s donation box.
Bunger Bed	Donate all four legendary snax to Gramble’s barn.	This includes Mama Mewon, Mothza Supreme, Daddy Cakelegs, and Megamaki (but not Cheddaboardle Rex). You’ll need to rematch them using the statues to catch new ones.
Cot	Sleep in your airship cot.	Simply take a nap in the cot inside the airship located near the entrance to Snaxburg.
Luxury Bed	Perform a power nap.	To perform a power nap, go to sleep and wake up within a very short amount of time. For instance, go to sleep at 4:50 AM and set the wake-up time for 5:00 AM.
