Borderlands 3 Weapon Trinkets Guide – How to Unlock, How to Equip

Borderlands 3 Weapon Trinkets

A Borderlands 3 Weapon Trinket is a cosmetic item that can be used to add an extra layer of flair to your Vault Hunter. These are small items like a medal, a miniature skull, etc. that can be hung on your weapons. Think of them as Backpack Keychains from the Division 2 but for guns. Since these Weapon Trinkets are completely cosmetic in nature, don’t expect them to give your stats any kind of boost when it comes to the actual gameplay. In this Borderlands 3 Weapon Trinkets Guide, we’ve everything there’s possibly to know about unlocking and equipping these trinkets in BL3.

Borderlands 3 Weapon Trinkets

First, let’s talk about unlocking Weapon Trinkets in BL3. So far, people have only been to acquire trinkets by pre-ordering the game or from the Digital Deluxe Edition. I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to get them from chests, purchase them via micro-transactions, or maybe through VIP codes but it’s all speculations.

As I mentioned earlier, purchasing the Digital Deluxe Edition is the only certain way of getting your hands on some Weapon Trinkets since you can’t pre-order the game anymore. In case you did pre-order the game and don’t know how to equip these trinkets in BL3, we’ve got you covered on that front as well.

How to Equip Weapon Trinkets?

Equipping a Weapon Trinket in Borderlands 3 is a simple process but it could’ve been better explained by Gearbox. To equip a Weapon Trinket, you need to open up your “Inventory” and select the gun you wish to apply the trinket to.

You should now be able to see a small square on the left side of your weapon. You need to open up this box, which will bring a complete list of Weapon Trinkets that are available to you. Now you simply need to choose the one that you like and that’s it. Unlike the Division 2, Weapon Trinkets in BL3 are pretty noticeable in the first-person camera. You’ll see them clearly bobbing up and down while running and swapping your weapons.
