The Director’s Cut DLC for Borderlands 3 brings a ton of new content to the game. This includes a new storyline, new items to chase, and a few secrets. One such secret is called the Mysterious Artifact which is an Epic Artifact. In this guide, we’ve detailed everything there’s to know about how to unlock the Mysterious Artifact in Borderlands 3: The Director’s Cut DLC.
Borderlands 3 Mysterious Artifact
The in-game description of the Mysterious Artifact is as ambiguous as it can possibly get. All that we can see in front of 100% and 5% bonuses are a few question marks. But fret not as we’ll help make sense of everything. Firstly, let’s talk about unlocking the Mysterious Artifact in the game.
In order to unlock the Mysterious Artifact in Borderlands 3, players need to complete the quest called Mysteriouslier: Horror at Scryer’s Crypt. Once that’s done, complete Mysteriouslier: Ghosts of Karass Canyon. After both of these optional missions are done, we’ll need to speak to Ava and progress through the story until the fight with The Seer. After defeating The Seer, we’ll be provided with a total of three chests, one of which contains the Mysterious Artifact. Now that we know how to acquire the Mysterious Artifact, let’s talk about what it actually does in the game.
Once equipped in the appropriate slot, the Mysterious Amulet Artifact in Borderlands 3 will provide players with a couple of pretty useful effects. These are:
- 5% chance of coming across additional Eridium deposits nearby.
- Players get 100% more Eridium from all the deposits.
What this means is that players won’t only find more Eridium sources while exploring the world but they’ll also get additional Eridium from these sources which is a huge bonus.
That’s all we’ve got in how to unlock the Mysterious Artifact in Borderlands 3. Feel free to check out our detailed Borderlands 3 wiki guides for more help on the game.
