Octopath Traveler Battle-Tested Weapons Farming Tips
Unlike legendary arms, there are only two ways to get Battle-Tested Weapons in Octopath Traveler 2. When you’re progressing through the story, you can steal them or buy them from NPCs.
In order to get the same weapon again, you must challenge or provoke the NPC. To get the desired weapon, you have to repeat the process multiple times after winning since there’s only a 2% chance of getting some Battle-Tested such as the Battle-Tested Dagger and the Battle-Tested Axe.
To make the battle-tested weapons farming process easier use Hikari and Ochette. A Battle-Tested item can be acquired by engaging in multiple battles with Hikari and Ochette. Exploring the game world is the only way to access all the NPC battles.
Farming Battle-Tested Weapons requires a lot of resources. Before starting the battle, save the game so you can easily restart if you lose.
Use Bottled Nightmares in this strategy, since they can inflict status effects like confusion, blindness, and poison.
You have to defend for two turns before you can use another bottle. It lets the opponent’s health deplete without attacking them. This method beats the NPC in six bottles.
It’s important to stock up on Bottled Nightmares before attempting the battle, as each bottle costs 3000 leaves.
Players can buy Bottled Nightmares at the Nun merchant’s table on the right side of the black market in New Delsta Flats. You might have to cycle the day until the Nun merchant is available.
That’s everything you need to know on how to get all battle-tested weapons in the game. If you have something to add, let us know of your thoughts in the comments below.
