Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has plenty of weapons that you can find and use, but here we are only going to go over the best ones. Some of these you can get early on in the game, and you just need to know where to find them. You can even get some without killing a single enemy. In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla guide, we are going to go over the best weapons in the game and how you can get them.
Best Weapons In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
The following are some of the best weapons in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and how you can get them:
- Lagertha’s Axe (Two-Handed Axe)
- Skadi’s Wrath (Bow)
- Battle Sparth (Two-Handed Axe)
- Shishi Guard (Shield)
- Plank and Buckler (Shield)
- Blacksmith’s Hammer
- Petra’s Arc (Bow)
- Gungnir – Odin’s Spear
- Excalibur (Greatsword)
- Mjolnir – Thor’s Hammer
Lagertha’s Axe (Two-Handed Axe)
This axe can be found early on in the game, and you do not have to kill a single enemy in order to get it, so do not worry about the high power requirement of the area in which you find it.
This was a helix item in AC Origins, but in Valhalla, you can find it in the location marked on the map below:
At the location, you will find a pool of water. Dive inside and proceed forward and you will eventually get to the chest that contains Lagertha’s Axe. The critical damage of the weapon increases when you are surrounded by 3 or more enemies. This stacks up to +20.
Skadi’s Wrath (Bow)
This is a great bow for a critical hit bow, and it will go well with Lagertha’s Axe. You can find the bow in a church in Ledecestrescire.
You have to come here as part of a mission, so chances are that you already have it. If not, then you can come back to the church and get it. The bow increases critical chance by +15 for 10 seconds when you hit the weak points of an enemy.
Battle Sparth (Two-Handed Axe)
This is a two-handed axe, and it can go well with Lagertha’s Axe if you have unlocked the skill that allows you to dual-wield two-handed axes. You can find the axe in the location marked on the map below:
The axe is in a bandit camp, and you need to kill a grunt in order to get the key to unlocking it, so be sure to be around 160 power when you attempt to get this axe. The axe gives you an extra attack when three or more enemies are around. The effect stays for 10 seconds, and the attack can boost up to +15.
Shishi Guard (Shield)
You can get this shield by progressing the story arc in Oxenfordscire. It is inside a castle that opens up when you progress through the story arc.
The perk of the shield is that it allows you to drop a sleep bomb once you have blocked 5 times. This will allow you to assassinate targets and get your adrenaline back or stomp them if you want to do that. If you dual-wield shields and block with the other shield, then the same perk is going to apply.
Plank and Buckler (Shield)
This shield allows you to increase your heavy damage when parrying. That can be very powerful with the right build. You can find the shield in an underground tunnel above a camp in East Anglia.
The Blacksmith’s Hammer hits hard and is one of the best weapons that you can get in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It also works great with the Plank and Buckler Heavy Shield. You can find the weapon in Bodilsburg Garrison, Lunden.
Petra’s Arc (Bow)
Petra’s Arc is a unique bow that has a perk that does increased critical damage when at full health. If you use bows and are into stealth gameplay, then this is a great one to have. You can get the weapon by defeating the legendary Battle-Sow.
Gungnir – Odin’s Spear
This is a great weapon because of its reach. Its unique perk extends the reach with a force field. It can be paired with a shield, dagger, or even greatsword. Unfortunately, you can only get the weapon late game, and it can be found in Hordafylke after you have finished the quest called A Brother’s Keeper.
Whoever pulls the sword from the stone will become the king of England, the legend has it. While that might not be the case in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Excalibur is still w great weapon to have. Unfortunately, there is no easy way of getting it, and you will need to gather 11 Mysterious Tablets that are scattered across the world. You can check out our guide on how you can get Excalibur.
Mjolnir – Thor’s Hammer
This is also a weapon of legend wielded by none other than Thor himself. While it is rather slow when compared to other one-handed weapons, it is a monster when it comes to damage output. Getting the weapon is a pretty long process, and you cannot get it unless you have progressed through the game a fair bit. You can check out our guide on how you can get Mjolnir.
This is how you can get some of the best weapons in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. If you want to learn more about gear in the game, then you can check out our guides on Bear gear locations, Wolf gear locations and Raven gear locations.
