Best Destiny 2 Grandmaster Nightfall Loadouts

The following are some of the best Grandmaster Nightfall loadouts that we recommend for Destiny 2 Season of Defiance:

Boots – Kinetic Weapon Surge x2, Stacks On Stacks
Bond – Time Dilation, Bomber x2

Exotic Weapon: Osteo Striga

The Osteo Striga fires a stream of sentient projectiles that deal poison damage and create a poisonous aura when defeating enemies or dealing critical hits. The poison damage also increases over time. It can also refill ammo after you kill an enemy.

Exotic Gear: Necrotic Grip (Gauntlets)

The Necrotic Grip exotic gauntlets synergize very well with Osteo Striga and enhance the poison effect, chaining it to nearby enemies and killing them until no enemy is left.

Grenade: Shackle Grenade

You will need the Shackel Grenade for this build for the Mindspun Innovation aspect.

Aspects

Mindspun Innovation

Enhances the functionality of all grenades. The Shackle Grenade we are using for this build can be consumed to activate Weavers Trance. Final blows with this buff active create a suspending detonation.

Weavers Call

Casting your first creates three Threadlings and deploys any threadlings that you have perched. You can replace this aspect with a better one once it is released.

Fragments

For the fragments, you want anything that can boost suspending targets and suspend debuff. The following are the ones that we can recommend:

  • Thread of Continuity – Increases duration of suspend, unravel and sever. Adds +10 strength.
  • Thread of Generation – Generates grenade energy when you deal damage. -10 Discipline.
  • Thread of Mind – Gain class ability energy when you defeat suspended targets.
  • Thread of Warding – Picking up an orb of power grants Woven mail. -10 Resilience. You can pick any other aspect that you like for the last fragment.

Stats

For the stats, you will need to prioritize Resilience, Recovery, and Discipline. Consuming your grenade is very important for this build, so you will want to max out the Discipline. Higher recovery means quicker healing rifts for survivability. Resilience is going to give you more survivability as well, allowing you to take more damage before you die.

Artifact Mods

Regarding artifact mods, we recommend picking up the Strand and Void ones and leaving the rest. You can check out the ones that we recommend in the image below:

Gear Mods

For mods, use anything that can get you additional grenade energy. We also recommend using Kinetic Weapon Surge mods to boost the damage of Osteo Striga.

Helmet
  • Strand Siphon – Rapid Strand weapon final blows create orbs of power.
  • Heavy Ammo Finder (optional), You can change this mod if you are not using machine guns.
Gauntlets
  • Impact Induction x2 – Causing damage with a melee attack reduces your grenade cooldown.
  • Heavy Handed – Powerful melee final blows create orbs of power. This is for the rare melee kills but you can swap this mod for something better if you prefer.
Chest
  • Charged Up – Increases the maximum number of stacks of Armor Charge by 1.
  • Resistance Mods – To increase resistance against incoming elemental attacks.
Boots
  • Kinetic Weapon Surge x2 – Collecting an orb of power causes you to gain 1 temporary Armor Charge.
  • Stacks On Stacks – Picking up an Orb of Power grants 1 additional stack of Armor Charge.
Bond
  • Time Dilation – Increases duration of Armor Charge
  • Bomber x2 – Reduces grenade cooldown when using your class ability.

Starfire Protocol Warlock Build

This is the best build for solar warlocks. All you need is the Starfire Protocol exotic chest piece and pair it with Fusion Grenade, Empowering Rift, and the Well of Radiance.

Fragments

  • Ember of Ashes – Scorch targets
  • Ember of Mercy – Resilience and restoration for picking Firesprite

Exotic Gear: Assassin’s Cowl (Head)

Assassin’s Cowl on its own is a very useful exotic since powered melee final blows with this exotic grants invisibility. Finishers and final blows against powerful targets increase the duration of the invisibility and restore health and shield.

Grenade: Pulse Grenade

This does damage over time to targets in the area but you can also use Storm Grenade.

Aspects

  • Flow State – Defeating jolted target makes you amplified. While amplified, your dodge recharges faster, you become more resilient, and your reload speed is increased greatly.
  • Lethal Current – After dodging, your melee attack has increased lunge range and jolts targets with aftershock.

Abilities

  • Gamblers Dodge – Dodging near enemies fully recharges melee ability.
  • Combination Blow – Increases melee damage when defeating a target. Fully refills class ability and restores health.

Fragments

  • Spark of Shock – Arc grenades jolt targets.

Insulation (Legs)

Utility Kickstart x3 (Mark)

Barricade: Rally Barricade

We recommend going with Rally Barricade but you can also use the Towering Barricade.

Melee: Frenzied Blade

Frenzied Blade will sever enemies, cutting off their connection to the world around them and reducing their damage significantly. Severed targets unwind into a tangle when defeated.

Grenade: Shackle Grenade

All the grenades are great but the Shackle Grenade creates another source of suspended targets. This gives you a backup if you mess things up with your class ability or simply want more suspended enemies. This will also stop Unstoppable Champions.

Aspects

  • Into The Fray – Destroying a Tangle or casting your Super grants Woven Mail. Woven Mail will give you protection. You will also get increased recharge for your melee ability while the buff is active.
  • Drengr’s Lash – Suspend enemies by activating your class ability (barricade).

Fragments

  • Thread Of Mind – Defeating suspended targets grants class ability energy.
  • Thread of Fury – Damaging targets with a Tangle grants melee energy. (-10 Strength)
  • Thread of Warding – Picking up Orb of Power grants Woven Mail. Woven Mail encases your body with a protective mesh of tightly woven Strand matter which greatly reduces incoming non-precision damage. (-10 Strength)

Exotic Gear: Abeyant Leap (Leg Amor)

This will improve Drengr’s Lash and grant Woven Mail when targets are suspended. With this exotic leg piece, Drengr’s Lash will spawn two more projectiles and track targets more aggressively while traveling further.

Artifact Mods

  • Authorized Mods: Grenades – Armor energy costs of all armor mods affecting grenades are significantly discounted.
  • Shattered Orbs – The first time you break a combatant’s shield, you create an Orb of Power if you break the shield with the matching damage type.
  • Counterweave – When you or a member of your fireteam stuns or defeats a Champion you ain energy for your least-charged Strand ability.

Gear Mods

Helmet
  • Arc Siphon – Rapid Arc weapon final blows create an orb of power. You can change this mod depending on the weapon that you are using. We recommend using the Arc Siphon if you use the Ikelos SMG.
Arms
  • Focusing Strike x2 – Grants class ability energy when you cause damage with a melee attack. Stack two of these for better effect.
  • Bolstering Detonation – Grants class ability energy when you cause damage with your grenade.
Chest
  • Charged Up – Increases the maximum number of stacks or Armor Charge you can carry by 1.
  • Void Resistance – Reduces incoming Void damage from combatants.
Legs
  • Stacks On Stacks – Picking up an Orb of Power grants 1 additional stack of Armor Charge.
  • Orbs Of Restoration – Picking up an orb of power grants small amount of energy in your ability with the least energy.
  • Insulation – Reduces class ability cooldown each time you pick up an Orb of Power.
Mark
  • Utility Kickstart x3 – Collecting an Orb of Power causes you to gain 1 temporary Armor Charge. We recommend getting three of these on the Titan Mark.

These are some of the best loadouts that you should use in Grandmaster Nightfall in Destiny 2 Season of the Defiance. You can also check out our guide on the best weapons that we recommend for the Grandmaster Nightfall.
