God of War: Ragnarok NG+ mode is available now, which makes the game more challenging but also adds new armor sets to help you defeat your enemies. In this God of War: Ragnarok guide, we go over some of the best NG+ builds that you can use to finish the game once again.
God Of War: Ragnarok NG+ Builds
The following are some of the builds that we recommend using in God of War: Ragnarok NG+ mode:
Best Class Cannon Build
The glass cannon build allows you to deal more damage, but you also take more damage. This is ideal for players that can dodge and parry well and are not going to take hits from enemies.
Armor | Zeus armor or Gauntlets of Zeus Cloak of the Black Bear Belt of Radiance |
Enchantments | Meign Vanaheim Set Bonus Sigil of Doom Emblem of the Nine Realms Memento of the Ailing Emblem of Elusion Boon of Valor or Boon of Wrath |
Weapons Attachments | Leviathan Axe: Grip of the Nine Realms Blades: Anything prioritizing Strength stat. Spear: Anything prioritizing Strength stat. Shield: Anything prioritizing Strength stat. |
Relic | Hilt of Hofuð |
Spartan Rage | Valor or Wrath |
Companion Weapons | Atreus: Jötnar Bow Freya: Mardoll |
Companion Accessories | Runic Potency III Nocked Proficiency III Sigil Amplification III |
Companion Runic Summon | Atreus: Falcon’s Dive Freya: Player Preference |
Armor
The best armor for this build is the Zeus armor which includes the Cuirass of Zeus, Gauntlets of Zeus, and Warbelt of Zeus. This set allows you to deal 80% more melee and runic attack damage, but you also receive 180% more damage.
If you do not want to go all-in with the class cannon build, then you can pair the Gauntlets of Zeus with the Cloak of the Black Bear and the Belt of Radiance. The Cloak of the Black Bear increases your immunity duration when evading and last second evades fire a volley of Bifrost shards at enemies. With the Belt of Radiance, last-second evades create a realm shift that slows down enemies for a short duration.
Enchantments
- Meign – Strength/Cooldown stat boost.Â
- Vanaheim Set Bonus – Melee damage against status effected enemies buff
- Sigil of Doom – Axe and Blades Melee attacks against Hexed enemies have a high Luck chance to trigger bonus Sigil Explosions

- Memento of the Ailing – Permafrost, Immolation, and Maelstrom charge faster when hitting status-afflicted enemies
- Emblem of Elusion – Gain a burst of speed and distance when evading
