How To Beat Cascarrafa Gym Leader Kofu In Pokemon: Scarlet And Violet

To become the champion of Paldea, you will need to defeat all the gym leaders. Cascarrafa City has water Pokemon and its gym leader Kofu is the fourth one that you will face. In this Pokemon Scarlet and Violet guide, we go over how you can beat Cascarrafa Gym Leader Kofu.

Beating Kofu In Pokemon: Scarlet And Violet

Before you can take on the gym leader you will learn that Kofu left his wallet behind and that you need to return it. You will need to head over to the market in Porto Marinada which is on the other side of the desert and you can encounter some dangerous Pokemon on your way.

While you are on your way to Kofu, you will be challenged by a trainer called Hugo. Once you defeat the trainer you will be able to meet Kofu and return his wallet. Now you will need to win the seaweed bid at the Porto Marinada auction. This can seem expensive but do not worry since you will be reimbursed.

Since Kofu uses water Pokemon, we recommend bringing along a couple of powerful Grass and or Electric-type Pokemon. The first Pokemon that Kofu uses is Veluza. This is a water and dark-type Pokemon so you can use grass, electric, dark and ghost-type attacks.

The second Pokemon that you face is Wugtrio. This is another water Pokemons so grass and electric moves are going to be very effective against it. Next, you will encounter Crabominable. This is an ice-fighting type Pokemon. You will need to change your strategy for this Pokemon. Instead of using grass pokemon, you will need to use electric Pokemon. The Pokemon that we recommend for this encounter are Magnezone, Capsakid, Skiddo, and Flaaffy.

Once you defeat Kofu, you will get the Cascarrafa City gym badge along with TM22 which is Chilling Water. This is what you need to know about defeating Kofu in Pokemon: Scarlet and Violet.
