Build-creation is easily the most fun aspect of any RPG. And unless you know exactly what you are doing, chances are that you messed up at one point or another. Similar to other modern RPGs out there, Baldur’s Gate 3 lets you redistribute your character’s skill points if you wish to improve your build or try something new. In this guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about how to respec your character in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Respec
It is pretty simple to respec your character in Baldur’s Gate 3. The first thing that you will need to do is to find Withers. He is one of the NPCs whom you can recruit. Once you have recruited him, he will offer his services which include reviving dead companions, respec, etc.
Where to Find Withers?
To find Withers, you will need to head over to the Dank Crypt right next to the Overgrown Ruins. To get there, you will need to defeat some bandits in the ruins after which you will find Withers inside a temple. If you are unable to find him, try to complete some quests in the area.

After you have found Withers, you will need to pay him 100 Gold in order to respec your character. Once you have done that, you will begin at Level 1 with all your skill points ready to be redistributed. If redistributing SPs is not enough, you will also be able to change your class entirely. It is important to remember that you will retain your equipment so you do not have to worry about it.
Resurrecting Companions
Aside from respec, he can also revive dead companions for 200 Gold. Lastly, he can also offer Hirelings which can be a huge help during battles.
This is everything we have on how to respec in Baldur’s Gate 3. If there is anything else that you would like to add, be sure to let us know in the comments below!
