You will find the Broken Moonlantern while you are in Grymforge. This is an important item since you need it to get to the Moonrise Towers but you you can fix the Moonlantern is not clear. In this Baldur’s Gate 3 Moonlantern guide, we go over where you can fix the Moonlantern to get it working again.
How To Fix The Moonlantern In Baldur’s Gate 3
You will not be able to fix the Moonlantern during Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3, so you should not waste your time exploring the Underdark in an attempt to fix the lantern. You need to progress to the Shadow-cursed lands of Act 2 to fix the lantern from a Kar’niss after the battle at the Last Light Inn.
You need to regroup with the Harper scouts that are outside the inn and then follow them to a convoy that has found a way to avoid the curse. You can then convince the Kar’niss to give you the Moonlantern or take it by force. Both options will reward you with a Moonlantern that works. You will then find out that it is powered by pixies.
You will now need to decide whether you want to free the pixie or keep it inside the lantern, which might harm it. Both options allow you to avoid the curse. If you let the pixie go then you will be rewarded with the Filigreed Feywild Bell, which protects you from the shadow curse.
