If you pre-ordered Baldur’s Gate 3 or got the digital deluxe version of the game then you get some bonus DLC items. The game is pretty tough early on since you do not have decent gear and your level is pretty low. The bonus DLC gear that you get for pre-ordering the game or getting the digital deluxe version can help you get started. In this Baldur’s Gate 3 guide, we go over how you can get the pre-order and deluxe edition bonus DLC items.
How To Get The Bonus DLC Baldur’s Gate 3 Items
Once you have completed the introduction to the game you can find the bonus DLC items and gear for Baldur’s Gate 3 in a chest in your camp. The exact location of the chest will depend on your camp. Find the traveler’s chest in the corner of your camp to get the deluxe edition DLC gear in Baldur’s Gate 3.
If you are playing with friends, online or in co-op mode then you will find multiple chests. You will only be able to open the one that is meant for you. Your friend will not be able to take your gear. If you have companions with you then they will also have their own chests. Each character and player has a corresponding color that marks their chest.
What Does Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition Include?
If you bought the Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition or bought the game during the early access then you get the following:
- Mask of the Shapeshifter – Headgear that allows you to change race and appearance

- Bicorne of the Sea Beast – Headgear inspired by Beast of Divinity: Original Sin II
- Needle of the Outlaw Rogue – Dagger inspired by Sebille of Divinity: Original Sin II

The clothing bonus items will be in a small container in the traveler’s chest. Open it in your inventory to claim them. The Needle of the Outlaw Rogue is a dagger but the rest of the items are cosmetic.
