Having the right loadout and build is important in Remnant From The Ashes as just having random gear won’t get you through. Our Remnant From The Ashes Builds And Loadouts Guide will help you with the best builds and loadouts for each play style.

Remnant From The Ashes Best Builds And Loadouts

Here I have listed the best builds in Remnant From The Ashes for each play style. The process is simple, I will be list down the armor, weapons, mods, rings, traits, and Amulets that you will require for a particular build.

Sniper Stealth Build

As the name suggest, this build is for players you like to take out their targets from a distance while remaining undetected. Here is what you need for this Remnant: From The Ashes build.

Weapons
Particle Accelerator is the best primary weapon to go with this build as it provides the most base damage of all rifles. But, if you haven’t found it yet then you can use the Hunting Rifle, Sniper Rifle, or Beam Rifle.

As for the secondary weapon, Magnum Revolver can help you if have a good aim. But, of you want to take down enemies quick at a close range than having an SMG will help you a lot. Melee weapons don’t matter for this build and you shouldn’t be in a melee range of enemies.

Armor
For this particular build, you have two choices: Hunter and Osseous Armor. Of the two, Hunter is the best choice for the Sniper Stealth build but, if you don’t have the Hunter armor yet than Osseous Armor is a good substitute and will do the trick.

The reason Hunter armor works best for this build is that is increases the weak spot damage for target that are +15 meter away. As for the Osseous Armor, if only provides damage boost after you kill an enemy.

Amulet
Use the Brutal Mark as it increases your damage against the bosses.

Rings
Stone of Balance and Hunter’s Band will go nicely with this Remnant From The Ashes build. Stone of Balance increases the ranged damage while the Hunter’s Band increases weak spot damage by 25%.

Traits

  • Mind’s Eye – Increases ranged Damage
  • Handling – Recoil Reduction
  • Shadow Walker – Enemies are slow to detect you
  • Exploiter – Weak Spot damage increase
  • Mother’s Blessing – reduced damage from ranged attacks
  • Quick Hands – reload sped is increased

Weapon Mods

  • Blink Token
  • Hot Shot
  • Flicker Cloak

Critical Hit Build

This build is for the players who like to face enemies at a medium range and clear groups of them. Here is the loadout required for this build in Remnant From The Ashes .

Weapons
An assault rifle is the recommended primary weapon and there is a reason for it, which will be explained in the armor section, but you can use Ruin, Sniper Rifle, or Devastator too.

For the secondary weapon, I would recommend as it’ll also stack up the set bonuses really well. As for the melee weapon, it’s your choice given as it won’t matter much in gameplay.

Armor
Osseous and Radiant Armor sets will go nicely with the Ex-Cultist Critical Hit build. The Radiant Armor set increases the critical hit chance and damage of you weapon with each critical hit. As the name suggests, this loadout is for dealing maximum damage with critical hits and Radiant Armor set is the perfect fit for this Remnant From The Ashes loadout.

As for the Osseous armor set, it’s best for clearing groups of enemies as it increases damage by 7,15,25 percent for 5 seconds after killing an enemy. However, this won’t help much against bosses.

Amulet
Gunslinger’s Charm if the best fit for the loadout but, Pocket Watch can help you better if you have trouble dodging enemies.

Rings
You have three choices here: Stone of Balance(10% damage increase), Devouring Loop(critical hits have10% chance to deal 300% damage), and Braided Thorns(critical hit chance increases by 15% for 6 seconds after killing an enemy).

Since you can only equip two, Stone of Balance and Devouring Loop will help you against bosses whole Braided Thorns and Devouring Loop will help you clear groups of enemies.

Traits

  • Quick Hands
  • Exploiter
  • Kingslayer
  • Executioner
  • Mind’s Eye
  • Trigger Happy

Weapon Mods

  • Hot Shot
  • Hunter’s Mark

Shotgun Build

This loadout if for the players who like to deal damage up close and personal. Here is what you need for this Remnant From The Ashes Loadout.

Weapons
The primary weapon for this loadout is obviously the shotgun. For the secondary weapon, SMFG might be good but it doesn’t matter much for this build.

However, this is the only Remnant From The Ashes build that makes use of the melee weapon but it’s you choice which melee weapon you want yo use.

Armor
Void and Akari Armor sets are best suites for this build. The Void set increases you damage when you’re hit while the Akari Armor set increases critical hit chance and melee damage when you dodge.

Amulet
You have two choices here: Twisted Idol and Pocket Watch. But which one you’ll use depend on your play style. If you are good at dodging attacks then Pocket Watch if you choice of amulet and if you get hit a lot then Twisted Idol is the obvious choice.

Rings
Strength, Gravity Stone and Root Circles are the recommended ones here. Pick two depending upon your play style.

Traits

  • Keeper’s Blessing
  • Glutton, Triage
  • Bark Skin
  • Will to Live
  • Guardian’s Blessing

Weapon Mods

  • Corrosive Aura
  • Mender’s Aura
  • Flicker Cloak
  • Mantle of Thorns

That is all for our Remnant From the Ashes builds and loadouts guide with tips in which armor sets, weapons, amulets and more you need for a particular build.

Leveling up is an important part of Remnant From The Ashes. With leveling up, players get new traits and become more powerful. Here is a way of fast Level up in Remnant From The Ashes so that you can unlock new traits.

Despite the game being a procedurally generated one, there are areas in the game that aren’t random or procedurally generated. One such area is the Ward 13 where you’ll find an item as a part of a puzzle that will help you level up fast.

How To Level Up Fast

The first time you use the Red Crystal you’ll be transported to Founder’s Hideout. Grab the Ward 13 keycard from the table and go back to the Ward 13.

Once there, go downstairs and use the keycard on the device right next to the door. Enter the room and go to the second room on the left and you’ll find a tape recorder.

Play it and you’ll unlock the Elder Knowledge Trait. This trait increases the amount of XP you earn and at max level, it grants 35% more XP. Just max this trait up and this will help you upgrade your other traits.

If you are interested in learning more about the game then be sure to check out our guides on where you can find different amulets in the game and the effects of different rings. You can also check out our guide on where you can find all the different weapons.

There you have it, folks, that is how you level up fast in Remnant From The Ashes.

Having only three Dragon Hearts can be too little in tough situations and our Remnant From The Ashes Dragon Heart Upgrade Guide will help you with increasing that number.

Dragon Hearts are important items in Remnant From The Ashes as they heal players. Players only get three as they start and will replenish Dragon hearts when they rest at a checkpoint.

How To Upgrade The Dragon Heart

To upgrade the Dragon Heart you first need to get to the Chapel and free the Root Mother. Don’t worry, this is part of the main path and is unmissable.

Go to the Chapel and talk to the Root Mother and complete the encounter. Once its completed, go back to the Ward 13 where you’ll find the Root Mother, talk to her and check the upgrades she is offering.

You are looking for the Dragon Shard which can be acquired to 1000 along with 1x Simulacrum and 10x Lumenite Crystals. However, Simulacrum is extremely rare randomly generated item and obviously, it’s difficult to find one.

Where To Find Simulacrum
Here is how and where you can find the Simulacrum in Remnant From The Ashes. Given that it’s randomly generated you need to be looking for it at all times while playing. Also, in each world, you’ll only find one Simulacrum. Earth, Yaesha, Rhom, and Corsus have one Simulacrum to offer, however, the 5th one is a secret.

Once you have found the Simulacrum, go back to Root Mother and craft the Dragon Shard and your Dagon Heart capacity will increase by +1. Meaning you can carry four Dragon Hearts with you at max.

If you are interested in learning more about the game then be sure to check out our guides on where you can find different amulets in the game and the effects of different rings. You can also check out our guide on where you can find all the different weapons.

The Ward 13 keycard is an useful item but a lot of players don’t know where and how to use it. Our Remnant From Ashes Guide will help you with where to use the Ward 13 keycard and what it unlocks.

Where To Use The Ward 13 Keycard

The Ward 13 keycard is acquired fairly early in Remnant From Ashes. It unlocks a new area for players to explore which grants access to new weapons and other items that you can loot.

Here is where you can use the Ward 13 keycard. First, return to The Ward 13 and go downstairs to the second basement towards the reactor. Use the Ward 13 keycard on the device next to the door.

There will be a lot of things that you can pick up here but, there are only a couple of important items here. The first one is a new trait that boosts EXP which is located behind the second door on the left. The second item is a fuse located behind the third door on the left.

Also, you’ll notice that the room at the end of the hall isn’t opening. For that you need a key and here is how you get it. Go to the B3 or basement 3, and plug the fuse in. Flip the switch and the power will turn on and use the keycard again to open the B3 door.

Go back and turn off the power which will turn off a large fan. Now, go through the door and to the left will the large fan that turned off. Go to the room behind the fan and you’ll find the key. Take the key and return to B2 and open the door at the end of the hall where you’ll find a SMG weapon and other items.

Inventory management is an important part of No Man’s Sky considering you’ll be collecting a lot of things. Our No Man’s Sky Inventory Management Guide will help you with tips on managing your inventory space and types of inventory.

No Man’s Sky Inventory Management

No Man’s Sky might’ve not been the game that devs promised at launch but it has improved significantly since then. One of the improvements were make to the game’s inventory and in our guide we will help you manage your inventory space and more.

Before we start, let’s discuss the types of inventory in No Man’s Sky. The game features three types on inventory space namely General, technology, and Cargo.

General
As the name suggests, general inventory is for storing resources, valuables, component parts and the rest of the standard inventory items.

Cargo
Cargo storage s only available on the Exosuit which adds slots with high storage capacity. This obviously results in players being able to store resources in greater number.

Technology
This only serves to install technology upgrades.

How To Save Storage Space

Given that storage space is limited, no matter how high-capacity it is, there will always be need for saving storage space. Here are a few tips that will help you save storage space in No Man’s Sky.

Always Install Tech Upgrades in Technology Slot
Given that applying technology upgrades take up space, make sure you are installing them in the technology slot available in Exosuit and Ship menus.

Stack Minerals
Minerals can stack up to 250 per slot, however, this number reaches to 500 for certain Starship and cargo slots.

Trade Commodities
Some commodities in No Man’s Sky can’t be stacked and have to be stored in separate slots. It’s better to sell these resources or commodities as they serve no purpose other than earning you units.

Transfer Inventory From Exosuit To Starship
If you are running low on inventory space then you can transfer you inventory to Starship from anywhere. However, you have to be in a close proximity to your Starship and the same goes for selling resources and other stuff in your Starship.

Increase Storage Space
You can increase storage space in for your Exosuit by discovering terminals in Drop Pods. However, you must pay a fee to upgrade storage space and each time the fee increases by 10,000 units.

Get a Bigger Starship
Bigger Starships have more storage space so make sure to buy a bigger Starship once you have enough units, for this you can check our money guide.

Don’t Forget the Freighter Storage
As the title suggests, make sure that you transfer your inventory to Freighter storage as it features more storage capacity.

How To Buy And Sell Ships

There are two ways in which you can buy a ship in No Man’s Sky. First, choose the ship that you want to buy and then you’ll get those two options. You can either buy the ship outright, which would be expensive, or you can trade in your already owned ship for a discount.

Also, the tech you installed on the ship that you traded won’t be traded to the new ship and make sure to transfer your inventory to the new ship before purchasing.

As for how to sell ships in No Man’s Sky. Unfortunately, you can’t sell ship in the game and the only way to get rid of a ship is to trade it for a discount on the new one.

Skills can be the difference between defeat and victory on the battlefield and that’s why you need to be careful while choosing your Hero skills. In our Age Of Wonders Planetfall best Hero Skills guide, we will help you select the best skill depending on situations and heroes.

Age Of Wonders Planetfall Best Hero Skills

Depending on your play style, not all skill will serve you well. You need to choose the skills that best serve you depending on your play style, hero factions, and situation. Our best hero skill guide will help you choose the best skill for your play style.

Best Hero Skills

As I mentioned before, skills are an important part of Age of Wonders Planetfall. However, there are skills that are more useful than others but for some skills, even that varies depending on the situation and the hero you are playing.

Despite that, the following skills are the best hero skills in Age of Wonders Planerfall and will potentially help you in a range of circumstances.

Field Medicine
Faction: Vanguard
Skill Points: 4

Field Medicine has to be the first skill you unlock while playing as Vanguard. This particular skill allows any unit in your hero’s army to recover 6 hit points per turn, which obviously, will keep them alive for a prolonged period of time.

What it means is that you won’t be spending much energy to produce replacement parts for your units. Keep in mind, even with this seemingly overpowered skill, you won’t have battle-ready units following consecutive battles.

Renewal
This skill is a substitute to Field Medicine if you are playing as Amazon faction. This particular skill isn’t easy to use as you have to manually apply it every turn to heal a unit. But the results are definitely worth it.

Battlefield Repairs
If you sided with the Assembly faction then Battlefield Repairs is the one to go for as it heals each unit by 12 hit points. But, this heal will only be granted after the battle.

Vitality 1,2,3
Faction: All
Skill Points: 2,4,6

Vitality is an important hero skill as you need your Hero to stay in the fight as long as possible. With this, your hero will have enough hit points that it can carry a low-tier army of unit s.

Guiding Presence
Faction: Kir’ko
Skill Points: 8

This skill will allow your hero to deal damage or even destroy them from a distance. This is useful as it allows you to deal damage without the enemy getting into the range that it can strike back.

However, this hero skill is particularly useful for tactical players as it requires some backward movement is short distances to be useful.

Shrouded Step
Faction: Kir’ko
Skill Points: 3

This skill will get your hero or your units get of tough situations if they get cornered. This skill can teleport your hero right in the middle of the enemy ranks to distract them. Strategic use of the Shrouded step skill in manual combat can make all the difference between defeat and victory.

Dimensional Feedback
Commander: Voidtech
Skill Points: 6

This Hero Skill is for those layers who play fearlessly and prefer their hero to be a Tank. Dimensional Feedback diverts half of the damage back to any enemy unit. Combine this skill with Vitality, Close Quarters Specialist, and Counter-Attack and you have an invincible hero that deals a lot of damage and can take a lot of damage.

Call Of The Wild
Faction: Amazon
Skill Points: 8

having more firepower is good and this skill gives you just that. With Call Of The Wild skill, your hero can summon additional units onto the battlefield. It’s up to you if you want to call additional units early in battle or at the end.

Juggernaut
Faction: Dvar
Skill Points: 2

This skill is useful for those Age of Wonders Planetfall players who have no love for ranged tactics an want to face obstacles upfront. Juggernaut Hero skill can get your units through the toughest of situations like walls or lava rivulets.

Spore Feeding
Commander: Xenoplague
Skill Points: 4

Those who love aggressive manual combat as this skill will keep your unit to almost full health provided, you keep your army units close to the enemy.

Deploy Cerebral Control Colors
Faction: Syndicate
Skill Points: 6

With a fewer option to mind-control enemies in Age of Wonders Planetfall, Deploy Cerebral Control Colors is a pretty useful Hero skill.

However, this skill isn’t always a success but it is, you get to keep the units after the battle and if it’s isn’t a success then it’s still useful given that is puts units out of commission for a round.

Reassemble
Faction: Assembly
Skill Points: 5

This is the pinnacle of healing abilities and is a must-have skill as soon as your Assembly hero gets to level 8.

This skill can bring massively heal any high tier damaged unit or being back a unit that’s completely destroyed, giving you a significant advantage, especially, at the end of a battle.

There you have it friends, the best hero skills in Age Of Wonders Planetfall and with tips on in which situation these skills work best and for what faction.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall is available on PC and consoles. While the console versions are running fine but, Age of Wonders: Planetfall PC is facing errors and issues like dowser.exe not found, crash on startup, AowPf_Debug.exe-system error and more.

Here I have compiled fixes and workaround to all of the errors and issues being faced by PC players so that they can play the game without any hindrance.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall PC Errors – Black Screen, Crash and Fixes

Age of Wonders: Planetfall is a 4X turn-based strategy game and the fifth installment in the franchise. The PC version of any game is bound to have issues and Age of Wonders: Planetfall does have some errors of its own.

Players are reporting issues like missing DLL files, black screen, Missing Bootstrapper-v2.exe, and more. The following are the errors and issues that players are experiencing along with their possible fixes and workarounds.

dowser.exe Not Found Fix

To fix this error verify game files which should detect that the exe is missing and will download it. if the error still persists, then go to your Steam library, right-click on the game> Properties> Local Files> Browse Local Files. Double click on “AowPF_Debug” and this will start the game for you.

Game Not Launching, Crash On Startup Fix

Age of Wonders: Planetfall players are reporting that the game won’t launch when they try to play the game. One possibility is that your nti-virus software or Windows Defender is blocking the game’s exe after falsely detecting it as a trojan.

You can fix this by either disabling your anti-virus software or making an exception for the game’s exe file in your anti-virus software.

AowPf_Debug.exe-System Error Fix

Age of Wonders: Planetfall players are reporting that when they start the game they get the following error.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall
The code execution cannot proceed because MS*******.dll was not found.

This error is probably popping up due to missing or corrupt .dll file. First, update your Windows OS as this will refresh the missing or corrupted DLL file.

If still, the error persists, then you need to do is install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 and 64-bit version Visual C++ Redistributable.

There is another way to fix this too but, I don’t personally recommend it as it can potentially compromise your system.. So do it at your own risk. You can manually download the “MSVCP140.dll” file from the internet by searching it on Google and copy it to the game’s install folder.

Low FPS, Stuttering, Performance Fix

Despite not being a demanding game, Age of Wonders: Planetfall is still facing performance issues. Here are a few things that will help you eliminate stuttering from the game and boost FPS.

First, make sure you are using latest GPU driver and there is no background process running that is using too much of your CPU, GPU, or HDD.

Open Nvidia Control Panel> Manage 3D Settings? Program Settings? select the game from the list and if it isn’t there then add it. Make the following changes.

Set “Power Management Mode” to “Prefer Maximum Performance”
set “Texture Filtering- Quality” to “High Performance”

This will eliminate stuttering and potentially boost FPS. Also, there is another thing that you can change here to boost FPS if you have the GPU and CPU to handle it. Just set Vertical Sync to “Fast” which can potentially boost game’s FPS.

Paradox Launcher Not Starting, Missing Bootstrapper-v2.exe Fix

Players are reporting that when they play the game they get the error “Paradox launcher won’t launch. System can’t find bootstrapper-v2.exe”. This is due to Windows Defender or your anti-virus software is detecting the file as a virus and has probably quarantined it.

Open your anti-virus software, and in the quarantined items look for “C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Programs\Paradox Interactive\bootstrapper-v2.exe”. Restore the file and create an exception for the game’s folder in your anti-virus and the game will boot up properly

Black Screen Fix

This is a common issue in PC games and is probably not a critical one. Start Age of Wonders: Planetfall and when the black screen appears, press “Alt + Enter”.

The game will go into the windowed mode and will start to display. Go to the video settings and change the resolution to your monitor’s native resolution and you’ll be able to play the game in fullscreen.

That is all for our Age of Wonders: Planetfall errors along with their fixes and workarounds so that you can play the game without any problem. I’ll be updating this article as I find more fixes.
