Atomic Heart launched with positive critical reception for its visuals and unique art design. The game is a first-person shooter. However, the FOV (Field Of View) is locked to 70. For an FPS, having the option to increase the FOV Is essential, especially on Ultrawide monitors. Here is how you can fix the Atomic Hearts FOV for your Utlrawise display.
How To Change FOV In Atomic Heart
Having the option to tweak FOV is pretty common for first-person shooters. However, Atomic Heart doesn’t let players change it.
It could be due to performance concerns. However, such low FOV creates problems for an Ultrawide display, and the following fixes will help.
Engine.ini Tweak
Navigate to the C:\Users\”yourusername”\AppData\Local\AtomicHeart\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor. Open the Engine.ini file in a notepad, save the following lines at the bottom, and save it.

AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV
This setting won’t let you change FOV but will adjust the FOV to your monitor’s aspect ratio, making the game a better experience on your Ultrawide display than the default FOV.
Universal Uneral Engine 4 Unlocker
Atomic Heart is developed using Unreal Engine 4, and it’s one thing we know about the engine is that users can tweak it. Since the game doesn’t natively support the FOV slider, you can use the Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker to allow the game to change FOV. Download the unlocker using this link > launch the UE4 unlocker, and select Atomic Heart > click on ‘Inject DLL’ and let it work. Launch the game and press (`) in-game, and it will open the console command at the bottom. Type FOV x; x is the value for the FOV you want to set, like FOV 100. This will allow you to change FOV.
Flawless Widescreen
Players report that Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker doesn’t work with the Atomic Heart’s Game Pass version. There is another way to fix the FOV for your Ultrawide display. Download the Flawless Widescreen and launch the application. Select Atomic Hearts and change the FOV using the FOV slider.
