Just like other PlatinumGames’ games, Astral Chain also has a grading system for combat. This alphabetical grading system starts from the lowest of D to the highest of S+. There are a few tips and tricks that can help you achieve S+ rank most of the times in Astral Chain.
Astral Chain S+ Rank
Getting an S+ rank in Astral Chain is easier than the most games that also have a combat grading system. Why? Because Astral Chain doesn’t start to decrease your earned grade for doing particular actions during combat.
The grading system doesn’t care about the damage taken and AED revives used. If you took a lot of damage during your playthrough or used multiple AED revives while playing the game, your end-game grade won’t be affected by it.
But if you’re some sort a godsend prodigy who didn’t receive any damage while playing the game, you’ll receive a 5000 score boost at the end. Receiving an S+ rank at the end is not easy because it requires a score of 10000 or above but there are some tips and tricks that you can use to make achieving the S+ rank easy.
The first thing that you need to do is to use the different Legions at your disposal. Apart from this, you should also try to land as many critical backstabs as possible. Multiple Chain Binds and using your Cooldown Attacks should also increase your score significantly.
You should also try to use the combat-time to good use and never stick to using a single skill. Try to go with different skills and make sure that you don’t break your ability combos. The reason for this is because breaking these will prevent you from using ‘chic’ moves that you need to get a high score.
Finally, your Sync Moves arguably contribute the highest to getting toward an S+ rank. These moves are not hard to land and will give you a huge bonus. If you don’t know how to perform a Sync Move, all you need to do is to wait for Legatus to flash a blue light and press the ZL button as soon as you see it to perform the move.
