In this guide, we’ll walk you through “Wedding Horns” in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. We’ll explain everything you need to know about this quest, including what to do if Rued returns (if you chose to spare him in the previous quest, A Fury from the Sea), and also what you can do after the wedding.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Wedding Horns Walkthrough

Wedding Horns is the second last quest in The Tale of Thegn Oswald saga. It can be found in Elmenham, East Anglia, just after you defeat Rued and free Oswald. It is about the wedding ceremony of Oswald, as the name of the quest suggests. If you’re not in Elmenham, there’s a fast travel marker available in the area to avoid a long journey.

You can start off this quest by talking to Oswald, who’ll be standing outside the town church. After a cut scene, you’ll have to take part in some wedding festivities; drinking games, shooting games, etc. You’ll be just killing time, and whichever one you choose doesn’t affect the eventual outcome. These activities will be marked with the objective marker, and you can easily find them.

Apart from the wedding festivities, there’s also a romance option available at the wedding. Like the other festivities, there will be a table with food on it, marked with the objective marker. If you go and interact with it, Broder will come and start complementing Eivor. After they talk a bit more, you’ll get different options to choose from, and one of those options is laying with Broder (with a heart icon). If you select that option, Broder will ask you to follow him to a more comfortable place where they’ll go jiggy. Also, the gender of Eivor doesn’t matter here.

After you’ve successfully completed partaken in the wedding festivities, you’ll get the objective to get Finnr down from the roof. After a cut-scene talking to him, you’ll need to carry him and get him down from the roof. After you’ve done so, talk to Oswald, who’ll be standing with his wife at the wedding altar. In a cut-scene, he’ll address his people with a brief speech and also call Eivor to do so. After Eivor has spoken in his honor, Finnr will call for the Bridal race.

Rued Reappearance

Now, if you’ve killed Rued in the previous quest, the race will start. Otherwise, Rued will interrupt the wedding and challenge Oswald to a duel. You can let him fight Rued, or you can fight as his champion; the choice is yours. However, if you let Oswald fight, he’ll defeat Rued; Finnr will be impressed by him and will pledge to serve Oswald for the rest of his days. On the contrary, if you fight Rued after defeating him, you can talk to Finnr and convince him to join you on your adventures.

Also, if you’ve already killed Rued in the previous quest, it will result in a peaceful wedding. You’ll have to take part in the wedding festivities to kill time, and when you’re about to leave, you can talk to Finnr and recruit him for your crew. That concludes the quest and also The Tale of Thegn Oswald saga.
