Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Unique Companions – How to Recruit Jomsvikings

To recruit unique companions in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla you need to make certain decisions during different quests. The following are all the choices and decisions you have to make to recruit new crew members in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Grantebridgescire Companion: Birna

During The Stench of Treachery quest in AC Valhalla you will be asked to decide who the traitor is (Birna, Lif, or Galinn). The traitor is Galinn so when you pick him Brina will automatically join your crew as a unique companion. If you choose the wrong traitor Birna won’t join your crew and you will lose reputation with Soma.

East Anglia Companion: Finnr

During “A Fury from the Sea” main quest, after you beat Rued you can choose to kill or spare his life. If you spare his life he will come back later at the wedding to cause trouble. Oswald will try to deal with him at the wedding but you need to step in and do the dual with Oswald yourself. If you deal with Rued yourself Finnr will join your crew.

Essexe Companion: Rollo

In the “Old Wounds” main quest you’ll have to figure out who the traitor is at Rollo’s camp. You need to decide between Lork and Gerhild. The traitor is Gerhild and when you choose him, Estrid won’t get injured later in Essexe. You can choose Lork as well which would allow Gerhild to cause trouble later. No matter what you choose Rollo will join your raiding crew in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Snotinghamscire Companion: Vili

During the main quest “Under the Skin” if you allow Trygve burn himself alive you won’t be able to pick an Earldorman. Choose the dialogue “Snotinghamscire can’t lose another” so he won’t burn himself. If stop Trygve from burning himself alive you can later choose between Vili and Trygve for Earldorman. The dialogue “I see a jarl in you” will pick Vili, and “I see Trygve as jarl, and you with me” will pick Trygve. If you choose Trygve as your jarl then Vili will join your settlement. If you let him burn himself for the Gods Vili becomes the Earldorman and won’t join the settlement. If Trygve is alive and you choose Vili for Earldorman he will stay behind and won’t join your settlement.
