The aim of the game is to drink more than the opponent and the mini-game is pretty simple. You need to press the prompted button when the white circle is inside the orange area. This is easy at first but the speed of the white circle increases over time and the orange area becomes smaller so as you chain combos, things are going to get difficult.
This mechanic controls the chugging. If you press the button at the wrong time then Eivor is not going to drink and you will have to try again. Another mechanic that you need to know about is maintaining your balance.
When Eivor has had a lot to drink he or she will start to lose balance. You need to correct his or her steps. If Eivor is about to fall towards the right then you need to move towards the left. You can do this by moving the left joystick towards the left or pressing the A button on PC. If Eivor is about to fall towards the left then you need to correct balance and move towards the right.
If you fail to correct the balance then Eivor will fail to drink and then you will need to try again. Get these two things right and you will win.
