AC Mirage encourages you to be stealthy. When you break stealth or are detected, you even hear Basim telling himself to do better. Taking the front door is not the best approach, and you may find yourself getting overwhelmed by enemies rather quickly. That is why stealth is very important in Mirage. In this Assassin’s Creed Mirage Stealth guide, I go over tips and tricks that will keep you from getting caught.
10 Assassin’s Creed Mirage Stealth Tips
The following are some Assassin’s Creed Mirage stealth tips and tricks that you should keep in mind when playing the game.
Use Eagle Vision To Mark Targets
Before heading into a restricted area, you can use eagle vision to look around and mark targets if you want to infiltrate an area without getting caught. Enemies remain marked even if they move around. Eagle Vision will even show you things of interest, including keys and chests.
Best Skills To Get For Stealth
We recommend getting the following skills for better stealth gameplay in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
- Extra Tool Capacity: Unlocks extra slot for tools.
- Chain Assassination: Unlocks the ability to assassinate multiple enemies.
- Pathfinder: Your eagle highlights more opportunities
Note that if you picked skills that you do not like, then you can respec. Extra Tool Capacity skills will not be reset.
Use Assassin’s Focus
While this was a controversial feature when the trailer released, it is great for assassination multiple enemies at the same time. Assassin’s Focus allows you to slow down time, mark enemies, and then assassinate them. You can even use it in case of emergencies if you are about to get spotted.
To use Assassin’s Focus, you need to fill the focus bar by performing assassinations. Each bar indicates an enemy that you can kill with Assassin Focus. The more bars you have filled, the more enemies that you can kill with Assassin’s Focus.
You can use this ability from any position and even when jumping, but you will need to be out of combat to trigger it.
Social Stealth Is Key
Social stealth is back in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and one of our tips is to take advantage of it as much as possible. You can walk with a group of three people or more to blend in with them. You can even sit on a bench to blend in and assassinate enemies without attracting attention. You can even pay mercenaries to have them attack enemies for you.
Use Throwing Knives To Silently Kill Distant Enemies
Silent assassinations are the trademark of an assassin, but at times, targets are not in range. This is where throwing knives can be very helpful. Use throwing knives to kill enemies that are away from you without breaking stealth. You can only carry a limited number of these, but you can often find them as loot. So keep an eye out for them.
Use The Blowdart To Quickly Take Down Armored Enemies
Armored enemies are tougher to damage compared to regular enemies. Luckily, you have the blowdart. This allows you to quickly immobilize targets and take them out with a single hit. We recommend saving the blowdart for armored enemies and getting the tool as soon as you can due to its combat effectiveness.
Let Your Environment Do The Work
Some planning can help you maintain stealth. You will often find explosives in the environment that you can use to take out enemies without being detected. Similarly, you can also drop cargo on enemies to kill them instantly and make it look like an accident. Be aware of your surroundings and plan a step ahead to effectively defeat enemies while remaining undetected.
Destroy The Alarm Bell
If you are detected, enemies will try to ring the alarm bell to tell surrounding enemies of your presence and even call in reinforcements. This is not something that you want. I recommend scouting the area before heading in and destroying the alarm bell so that enemies cannot use it. You can destroy the alarm bell from a distance using a throwing knife.
Use Smoke Bombs To Escape
Even the best plans have flaws. You things do not go as planned and you are detected or are overwhelmed by enemies, then you can use a smoke bomb to escape. These create thick smoke and break the enemy’s line of sight, allowing you to make an escape.
Use Hiding Spots To Become Anonymous Again
Once you have broken the enemy’s line of sight, you can hide in hiding spots to become anonymous. Hiding spots include tall grass, piles of flower petals, shacks, and more. You can also blend in with people by standing in a group or sitting on a bench.
What Is Notoriety Level And How To Decrease It
As you perform “illegal” actions such as assassinations and stealing, your Notoriety will increase. This has three different levels. At the first level, citizens will start to recognize you and call the guards. At the second level, archers will be positioned on roofs that will try and find you and shoot you if you are detected. At the third level, the Interceptor (elite guard) will hunt you.
Since you want to be anonymous to maintain your stealth, you do not want your Notoriety level to be high. There are a couple of different ways in which you can decrease this. You can remove wanted posters in the streets without being noticed by the authorities, bribe a Munadi, or defeat the Interceptor.
