Parrying is takes a little while to master and a lot of it depends on your reflexes. Keep in mind tha not all type of attacks can be parried. There are two types of attacks; one that you can parry, the other you must dodge. When the enemy is glowing red it means the attack can not be parried. However, if the enemy turns golden while performing an attack, you can parry! So with the basics out of the way, let’s dive deep into this.

How To Parry In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

The key to a successful parry is to immediately hit the parry button when you see the enemy glow golden. Achieving a successful parry is all about reflexes and timing. The key is to press the parry button as soon as you see the enemy glow golden. Do not wait for the enemy’s weapon to make contact with Basim’s weapon.

In the video demonstration above, you can see the difference between red and golden glow attacks. But you may also notice that time slows down when I parry. This is happening because I have the Dagger of Time (Prince of Persia) Dagger equipped. It helps slow down time upon a successful parry. I highly recommend you get this dagger (Deluxe Edition Exclusive) to be at your best parrying behaviour in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Note: A successful parry will allow you to instantly kill an enemy with a counter. However, the instant kill doesn’t work on brutes since you can’t parry their attacks and won’t work on enemies with spears until their HP is less than 50%.

Tips for Perfect Parries

  1. Practice: Like all skills, practice makes perfect. Engage in combat frequently to get a feel for enemy attack patterns and improve your parrying reflexes.
  2. Stay Alert: Always keep an eye on the enemy’s animations. Recognizing the difference between a red and golden glow quickly can be the difference between a successful parry and taking damage.
  3. Don’t Hesitate: The moment you see the golden glow, press the parry button. Hesitation can result in a missed opportunity.

Parrying is an essential skill in Assassin’s Creed Mirage that can turn the tide of any battle in your favor. By understanding the mechanics and practicing regularly, you can achieve a 100% parry success rate, ensuring that Basim remains a formidable force in the streets and rooftops of Baghdad. Stay sharp and trust your instincts.
