Similar to earlier Assassin’s Creed games, you can use various mounts to roam around the world. These animals not only help you find collectibles, complete quests, or just general exploration but you can also customize them to your liking. Doing so, however, requires you to reach Baghdad after completing the Prologue. In this guide, we have detailed everything there is to know about using mounts in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, customizing them, and purchasing cosmetics in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage Mounts

Soon after reaching Baghdad post-prologue, you will get your mount, Fajr. Similar to earlier Assassin’s Creed games, there are a few commands that you can give to the horse.

Once you have acquired the mount, you should be able to call it by pressing the ‘X’ key on PC. After calling your mount, press the ‘X’ key again in order to call it near your position. You can hold the ‘X’ key to mount your horse while it is coming toward you or press the ‘E’ key if it is standing still somewhere. Once you have mounted your horse, there are a few commands that you can use:

  • Gallop: Left Shift
  • Dismount: Hold C
  • Follow Road: Z

Customizing Mounts

After reaching Baghdad, you should be able to customize your mounts. While you are there, you will need to find a Stable — it should be marked by a small ‘Horse’ icon on the mini-map. This is where you should be able to purchase cosmetics for your mounts. Customizing your mounts is entirely optional. These do not provide any in-game benefit aside from being purely cosmetic.

Those of you who purchased the Deluxe Edition, your pre-order bonuses will also be available in there. Other than that, there are plenty of MTX available for you to purchase even if you did not get the Deluxe Edition. You can purchase these using Dirham, the in-game currency:

Al-Sabiq — The Winner100D
Al-Mu’ammil — The Hopeful125D
Al-Musafir — Traveler100D
Al-Atif — The Comforter100D
Al-Tali — The Follower100D
Al-Hazziy — The Fortunate100D
Al-Zill — The Shadow100D
Al-Dhabaab — The Mist100D

On the other hand, if you wish to change skins for the Eagle, you will need to head over to the Falconary tab while at a Stable. Similar to mounts, you should be able to get your pre-order bonuses from the same menu.

Peregrine Falcon200D
Great Spotted Eagle250D
White Eagle150D

Lastly, there should be plenty of additional cosmetics in the Animus Store for real-world money.
