ArcRunner is an exciting and engaging game for fans of cyberpunk-themed third-person shooters. The game’s visuals are immersive and impressive, given its cyberpunk style, which adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the gameplay.

One of the standout features of the game is its three distinct classes: the Soldier, the Ninja, and the Hacker. Each class has unique abilities and attributes, which means players can choose the one that suits their preferred playstyle.

The Soldier is the strongest character and can take and deal more damage, while the Ninja is faster and uses a blade as their melee weapon. The Hacker, who needs to be unlocked, has their own set of abilities for specific playstyles.

The game’s roguelite mechanics add an element of unpredictability to each run, making every playthrough different and challenging. Players must fight against rogue AI while exploring the game’s levels, and killing enemies will drop weapons and gadgets with different damage attributes that players can use to progress.

The game also has a cryochamber, where players can upgrade augmentations for their character after completing a wave. This feature adds an element of strategy to the game, as players must decide which upgrades will best suit their playstyle and help them progress through the levels.

Another interesting aspect of ArcRunner is the nanites point system, which allows players to upgrade their character before starting their next run. This feature encourages players to continue playing the game to gain more points and unlock more powerful upgrades, adding an extra layer of progression and motivation to the game.

Despite all its positives, there is an issue that I must highlight here. If you’re playing the game on a PC and want to use a controller, don’t! There adjust look sensitivity which becomes the biggest issue when playing with a controller. Here’s what it’s like to aim with a controller in ArcRunner on PC:

The stick sensitivity is broken which makes it impossible to aim with a controller on PC. You can remap buttons to your liking but sensitivity adjustment is something the developers must add ASAP.

But overall, ArcRunner is a well-designed and engaging game that offers players a unique cyberpunk-themed experience with its distinct classes, roguelite mechanics, and upgrade system. Fans of third-person shooters and cyberpunk-themed games will love ArcRunner.
