In addition to having Nook Special Services, Animal Crossing New Horizons has Resident Services as well. In the Animal Crossing New Horizons Resident Services guide will explain everything you need to know about this feature.
Animal Crossing New Horizons Resident Services
The Resident Services tent is the main information center on our deserted island. This is where you find Tom Nook and the Nooklings, Tommy and Timmy; these two will help you set up on the island. You can expand the Resident Services buildings later on.
Buy and Sell Items
In the Resident Services building, you can speak with Timmy or Tommy to buy and sell items on a daily basis. These two will sell you new items daily and you can sell your unwanted items for Bells.
DIY Workshops and Crafting
There is a workbench in the Resident Services tent. This is where you can craft items using your DIY recipes. Gather crafting materials and you are good to go.
Nook Stop Terminal
The Nook Stop Terminal is where you can redeem your Nook Miles. Select this option to seel what items are available for redemption. You can also scan your Amiibo and Abiibo Cards at the Nook Terminal. Last but not the least, you can buy items for your inventory via the Nook Shop.
Repay Debt and Expand
You can speak with Tom Nook in Resident Services in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Talk to him to repay your debt for the Gateway Package. You can use your Nook Miles to pay your debt back. At one point in the game, you will be able to build expansions for your tent and build a house on the island. You can pay your construction loans to Tom Nook with Bells.
Eventually, Isabelle will come to work for Tom Nook and through her, you will be able to check the environment of the Island; which includes music, changing the flag, and discussing the current residents.
