Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fish List, Locations, Seasons, Prices Guide

There are different types of fish that you can catch throughout the year in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You can sell your caught fish to earn some Bells or bring them to Balthers to add to your museum’s collection. However, not every fish can be caught every single day. Some types of fish in Animal Crossing: New Horizons are seasonal and can only be reeled at specific times of a day. Once a fish is caught, it’s automatically added to Critterpedia app on your NookPhone.

How to Fish in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Fishing isn’t new in New Horizons and has always been a part of Animal Crossing games. To fish, you’ll obviously need a Fishing Rod which can be crafted through DIY recipes or purchased from the Resident Services building. After getting your Fishing Rod, travel to a waterbody and cast your rod into dark shadows (indicating the presence of fish) in the water to reel them in.
