The first live event of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming right at your Switch soon enough. The Bunny Day Event will be taking place on April 1st and will continue till April 12th. To tell you a bit about the event, for beginning it, you will need to look around the island and find the yellow rabbit by the name of Zipper T. Bunny. From him, you will receive the task of searching for recipes and eggs hidden all over the island. In this Animal Crossing New Horizons Bunny Day Event Guide, we are going to go over everything that you need to know about the event.

You will find these items in various nooks and crannies, including buried underground or in water bodies. Once found, you can craft limited time decorating items for your home or the island with these eggs. And in return for finding the recipes and creating them, Zipper T. Bunny will grant you a special reward.

Take care to sync your Nintendo Switch to real-time, to take part in the event. The event cannot be accessed by time travel either, as the game will be checking online if you are synced up or not.

Finding the Eggs

Eggs can be found by fishing, digging the ground, shaking up the trees, hitting at rocks and many other ways. Each of the methods will get you a different sort of egg. Following is a list of the kinds of eggs you will find along with the ways to acquire them:

  • Stone Eggs

Obtained by hitting rocks, like Stones and Iron Nuggets.

  • Wood Egg

Obtained by hitting trees, like wood.

  • Earth Egg

Obtained by digging the ground, like fossils.

  • Leaf Egg

Obtained by shaking down from the tree, like fruit.

  • Water Egg

Obtained by fishing in a water body.

  • Sky Egg

These are shot out of colorful, striped balloons.

Don’t worry if you are a few eggs shy of completing all your furnishings and the event is about to end. Zipper T. Bunny will be trading eggs on the last day of the event, so you can get any particular egg that you are lacking in exchange for three eggs of another type. Also, give heed to the tips of the villagers, Coconut Trees are a more likely source of obtaining Wood Eggs. Also, Stone Eggs are more likely to be had from rocks on Mystery Island Tours.

Getting Recipes for Bunny Furniture

New Horizons Bunny Day

Recipes for the bunny items are found upon striped, colorful messages stuffed in bottles that are washed ashore. They are also available from the stripy balloons in the sky and the residents will also be happy to share them with you.

After a certain amount of each type of eggs is collected, your character would wish to make fashion items of them. When you have all these new types of fashion items, you will unlock the recipes for Egg Party Dress and Hat. The Bunny Day Bed recipe will be given to you by Zipper T. Bunny himself during the first time you speak with him. While the Bunny Day Arch recipe will be shared by him on 12 April, the last day of the event.

The Bunny Day Crown and Day Bag recipes will only be acquired by residents, and they will give these to you themselves. After you have crafted everything in the event, talk to Zipper T. on the last day of the event, and you will get a Wobbling Zipper Toy recipe. This is used to create a Bunny Day Wand. Showing Zipper T, your finished Wobbling Zipper Toy will get you the Wand recipe.
