AMD Ryzen 3 4300U Beaten By Intel i7 1065G7 In New Benchmarks

AMD Ryzen 3 4300U

The AMD Ryzen 3 4300U is a mobile CPU and the performance of the chip seems very impressive indeed. We have a benchmark comparing the AMD Ryzen 3 4300U with the i7 1065G7. The i7 1065G7 is able to beat the AMD CPU by a fair margin when it comes to single-threaded performance.

AMD Ryzen 3 4300U Vs i7 1065G7 Benchmarks

Both CPUs have 4 cores. The AMD Ryzen 3 4300U has a base clock speed of 2.7 GHz and can boost to 3.7 GHz. The Intel i7 1065G7 can boost to 3.9 GHz which is a minor improvement over the AMD CPU. You can check out the benchmark below:

It is worth mentioning that there is only a single AMD CPU in the sample while there are multiple in the sample of Intel CPUs. The margin of error for the AMD CPU is pretty high while the Intel CPU is low.

While AMD is very impressive when it comes to gen on gen performance, you should still take these numbers with a grain of salt. Actual performance numbers can be different and it all depends on the quality of the silicon as well.

AMD Ryzen 3 4300U

This is not the first time that we have got leaks related to these kinds of CPUs. We spotted a leaked benchmark of the i7 1065G7 in which it was beaten by the AMD Ryzen 4800U. The AMD Ryzen 4800U is a higher-end CPU compared to the 4300U. We have also spotted benchmarks for the Intel 10300H and 10750H mobile CPUs.

In other news regarding AMD, the company is working on methods for low-latency wireless VR. The company is developing and working on these methods so it might take a while before we see any improvements in wireless VR technology.

Let us know what you think about the performance of the AMD Ryzen 4300U and the i7 1065G7 and which one you are interested in getting.

  1. Very misleading and immature article. One should put side-by-side comparable products, right? Therefore:

    a) Does Intel Core-i3 1005G1 beat AMD Ryzen 3 4300U? Hell no. AMD wins.
    b) Does Intel Core-i5 1035G7 beat AMD Ryzen 5 4600U? Hell no. AMD wins.
    c) Does Intel Core-i7 1068G7 beat AMD Ryzen 7 4800U? Hell no. AMD wins.

This time, AMD is absolute winner, in terms of capacity and also in terms of price.

  2. Hey, that is a great comparison. Let me say that I do not have anything against AMD. Competition is always great and AMD has been releasing some killer products. Note that this is a pretty old benchmark. We can only make do with the data that we have at the time.

  3. Understood. I wanted to point it out clearly, so uninformed/lay public would not have a false impression that AMD is still lagging behind Intel.

Also, I don’t have anything against Intel (in fact, I have been using Intel PCs). But with Zen 2 microarchitecture AMD really has something to offer on the market – be it for basic or advanced users.

  4. If only CPU specs were about right. i7-1065G7 is 4 cores 8 threads not 2 cores 4 threads as in the screen shot. Let’s compare apples to apples next time,
