How to Get Rid of the Rat Swarm in AC: Valhalla – The Siege of Paris

Probably the most annoying thing in the new expansion for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is the Rat Swarm. These rats attack Eivor on sight, are seemingly impossible to kill, and are generally frustrating to deal with. In this AC: Valhalla guide, we have detailed all there is to know about how to get rid of the Rat Swarm in the Siege of Paris expansion.

AC: Valhalla – The Siege of Paris Remove Rat Swarm

Soon after beginning his journey in AC: Valhalla – The Siege of Paris, Eivor will come across a Rat Swarm causing blight in Francia. It may not sound much on paper but the Rat Swarm can cause a serious setback to Eivor’s journey.

Before we begin, do note that there is no way of getting rid of the plague once and for all. Throughout the course of The Siege of Paris expansion, Eivor will continue to encounter these pesky rats. Now the first thing that comes to mind is to hack away at them with a weapon but that does not help.

In order to clear the path of rats, Eivor must find a grate nearby – Odin Sight helps a lot here. Once a grate has been found, hack away at them to make them run in the direction of the grate. Eventually, all the rats will drop into the grate. However, do note that the rats will not remain there forever until the grate has been blocked off with an object. Again, this is something that can be done with the help of Odin Sight.

Once the path has been cleared, Eivor should be free to attend to more pressing affairs. In case all this feels like a lot of work, remember that sometimes there are alternate pathways that Eivor should be able to use.

This is all we have got in how to get rid of the Rat Swarm in AC: Valhalla – The Siege of Paris. For more help on the game, feel free to check out our detailed AC: Valhalla wiki page.
