A Plague Tale: Requiem is not the most complicated game in the world but if it has been a while since you played A Plague Tale: Innocence or you just want to get a head start then there are a couple of things that can help you out. In this A Plague Tale: Requiem beginner’s guide, we give you some useful tips and tricks to help you out.
A Plague Tale: Requiem Tips And Tricks
The following are the tips and tricks that we recommend you keep in mind when playing A Plague Tale: Requiem;
Avoid Hoarding Resources
You might be tempted to keep the resources you find but we do not recommend doing that. You do get plenty of resources so you should spend them when you get the chance. Pretty much any area that you head into is going to have ammo for you to restock and resources for you to gather. This is not a very long game either, so holding onto resources might not be worth it in the end.
Get The Light Footstep And Nimbleness Skills
Since this is a stealth game, we recommend getting the Light Footstep and Nimbleness passive skills as soon as you can. These are under Prudence. The Light Footstep passive skill allows Amecia to make less noise when she moves around. The Nimbleness passive skill enables Amecia to move faster when crouched. Both of these work great together and will help you take down enemies without alerting them.
Exploration Can Be Rewarding
When you are not in the middle of a fight, be sure to look around to find resources, secrets, and collectives. You can often find souvenirs or Hugo’s feathers and flowers. Some secret areas have tools and workbenches that you can use to get an edge.
Avoid Using Knives On Enemies
While the game does allow you to use knives to kill enemies, you should save them to open hidden workbench areas that can reward you with tools and resources. Unless it is a life-or-death situation, save those knives for later.
Get The Softened Cords Upgrade
To make the most of your tools you need to upgrade them. This is important since you do not get a lot of tools to work with. We recommend getting the Softened Cords upgrade as soon as possible since it decreased the sound that the sling makes. So you do not attract as much attention and can sneak around.
While you do get better weapons as you progress the game, you will be using the sling for some time. So it is worth upgrading. This is one of our Plague Tale: Requiem tips that is going to make things much easier for you. While on the subject of upgrades, the Traveller tools upgrade is the least useful in my opinion since you do find plenty of workbenches as you progress the game. How To Defeat Armored Enemies
Armored enemies are more tricky to deal with compared to regular soldiers who have their heads exposed. If you are up against an armored opponent that is carrying fire mace then you can throw some tar at them to create a fireball. If there is saltpeter near an enemy then you can throw a stone at it to blind enemies and then shoot your shots at the weak points and then finish them off with an arrow.
If you are having trouble with armored enemies then we recommend getting the Armour Pierce which allows Amecia to backstab armored enemies.
Try Going Around When You Can Get Through
If you have trouble getting through an area then look around to see if you can find an alternative route. There are often multiple ways of getting where you need to be. You just need to find it.
These are some of the tips and tricks that you should keep in mind when playing A Plague Tale: Requiem.
